So robert guerrero is now a bum

  1. Hindsight is wonderful

Floyd looks imperious against a legit opponent, that would have been my summary of last night

But there are people everywhere now claiming guerrero never should of shared a ring with money, much like ortiz
Guerrero is a multiple weight world champion who has competed at top level for a number of years now,is that not enough

Was guerrero out of his depth or is it just that floyd makes most boxers look average

He's not a bum but he is at least two levels below Mayweather and anyone who's really followed his career closely would see that. He was never going to beat Floyd, let's be honest. You were deluded if you thought he had a chance.

Another sub-par opponent for Floyd, nothing too surprising

Guerrero's a multiple weight world champion?

Holding a bunch of interim belts and jumping up in weight does not make you a multiple weight world champion. I don't even know if he's genuinely legitimised himself as a 'world champion' in even one division. Guerrero's wins should be appreciated, but they aren't 'top level'. I don't consider guys like Casamayor, Katsidis, Aydin or Berto to be that.

Completely agree. Guerrero has never been an elite fighter IMO

  6. Ok fair comments

But with the 6 fight contract he has in place do you not think he was an acceptable opponent

Yeah we all want a pacquiao, canelo or maybe even marquez rematch but the fact is floyd has been in with lots of capable opponents its just because he is so effective he makes them look bad

He really was in a no win situation last night then wasnt he

World class fighter but as others have said levels below the elite of the sport. Guerrero is a good solid world class fighter. He's good at what he does, but in reality his displays against Aydin and Berto were about heart and guts and will to win. He does nothing special and has worked really hard to get to level he is today. He should be proud, he can still win titles but he's just not that level. Many aren't so no shame in it. I think he was just happy to be there IMO.

If your a elite fighter you smash Aydin and Berto out the ball park.

There were quite a few serious pundits who thought Guerrero had a sniff and I wouldn't call them deluded. They were damn wrong now in hindsight yes, but I still think Guerrero is a decent fighter.

There were legitimate question marks about Mayweather going into this fight after his recent efforts and a year out of the ring. He answered them emphatically. What everyone now wants to see is him in a genuine 'super' fight in September.

Floyd Mayweather is just a class above. Pure and simple. He makes world class fighters look utterly ordinary. Robert Guerrero will still go on to do great things and I actually think he beats most others except Floyd Mayweather.

Look at how ordinary Floyd made Juan Manuel Marquez look. That was probably one of his easiest fights. Yet look how much of a beast Marquez has been since that fight.

What? Hindsight? Nobody needed hindsight to know Guerrero didn't belong on the ring with him. From the moment it was announced it was a mismatch. Dude goes life and death with Aydin and beats Berto, and that makes him a legit threat to Mayweather? Pfft. Mayweather beat him like he was supposed to. He made Guerrero look average because, guess what, he is average.

    This.

  15. Salido beat guerrero on peds,it's now a no contest I believe

The thing is people watching last night will have noticed Martin Murray who is nobody's mug predicting a Guerrero win

The majority thought mayweather would win of course but if you look back at predictions
There weren't many who said floyd would do as he pleased

Now Guerrero shouldnt have been in there

I ****ing hate punters who tell you the fight played out exactly as they expected when the truth is they are just being know it alls
