Did Guerrero Strictly Prepare for a Toe 2 Toe Mayweather?

Who knows. I do remember him saying he was prepared for everything: an outside fight, inside fight, etc. Ehh regardless he had twelve rounds to adjust. He just wasn't prepared for any Mayweather.

They were expecting the Floyd of recent to show up. A more flat-footed and aggressive Floyd. There is some evidence of this in how Guerrero came in so big, expecting a physical fight when they could have cut the weight very early in camp, focus on hand and foot speed and come in light, say 145 at least. Like many of us, underestimated Floyd, and expected a physical, tough fight. But not once did Floyd sacrifice himself to do damage to his opponent like he did vs Cotto. It was a boxing clinic and im happy to see the old Floyd is back.

 

His preparation wasn't the problem, the problem was that he was facing a fighter who is markedly better in every conceivable way.

 

Remember, he said he had all of this plan a, plan b... ****.

 

No he was just overmatched he would lose regardless of what gameplan he had.
