So why didn't he postpone the fight if he wasn't fully fit?

    Simple.

steward was aware of that and ready for it

Emanuel Steward, the trainer of WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, discussed the flaws and strengths of David Haye, who Wladimir easily decisioned over twelve rounds last Saturday in Hamburg, Germany. According to Steward, Haye's balance is the British boxer's biggest weakness. After reviewing tapes, Steward noticed that Haye is always off-balance when he throws punches - especially his big right hand.

Steward gave Haye a lot of credit for his head movement and upper body coordination. Haye's head movement actually surprised Steward and made it very difficult for Wladimir to land clean punches.

"David Haye has great coordination and upper body movement but we always knew that his biggest weakness is that he always throws his right hand and gets out of balance. We tried to take the space away from him and cut off the ring, and throw a lot of feints with the jab without jabbing and let him throw his punches and get off balance," Steward said.

"Every time he throws his punches he gets off-balance. If you let him throw two punches he gets off-balance. His reflexes were good enough where we couldn't take advantage of him being off-balance. He had unbelievable head movement and coordination. The strategy was simple, to cut off the ring and let him get out of balance. Wladimir has much better footwork than people think. David surprised us with his great head movement, which made it difficult to hit him effectively."

sooo even emanuelle steward thinks hayes good :)

on here if an underdog wins, the champ is clearly shot, if the champ wins the opponent is a bum..

if a fighter has "0" losses before he retires he`s a cherry picker,

if a smaller fighter doesnt stand toe to toe and fight like a warrior cos he actually wants to win rather than please the crowd he`s a *****.

last nite a blown up light weight was bigger somehow than the champ lol...

i read on here yesterday that even nigel benn bitched out of a fight with toney, the dude was a fcuking warrior?!?!?!

oh n david gaye... thats the sorta **** a homophobic 14 year old would come up with.

to those who dont think haye is at least the third best heavyweight, who`s going to beat him?
    stiverne? the plodding donkey?

theres no one he can fight and get respect for fighting, everyone is apparently overprotected and/or have no resume..

What has Haye done to consider him as the third best heavyweight right now? His best win might be 37 year old Valuev who got beaten by an ancient Holyfield in his last fight. So far Haye did not anything great at heavyweight. Povetkin for example has the much better heavyweight resume. Or TT has also a better resume. So why do people think he is the best behind K2? I dont see that... I see guys like Povetkin, Pulev, Thompson (if in shape) pretty much on the same level.

The worst part was when Haye slipped Tony Thompson's name "Oh wait who was the guy who knocked out Price, what's his name again"? As if Haye had never heard of him.

Haye used Thompson as a sparring partner for the Audley fight and of course knows his name full well. Just acts like Thompson is some non-descript nobody to play down Wlad (and Price).

Yeah i noticed that, I mean Price is his boy the man he signed after Olympics now he's making out Price lost to a no mark by making out he didn't know. Yet he sparred Tony before as you rightly mention.

David Haye claims he is retiring at 30.

    Retires.

    Says he isnt coming back.

    Stays retired.

    Comes back to fight Chisora.

Says he wont fight anybody else other than a Klitschko.

    Retires.

Says he wont fight David Price or Tyson Fury, and is ignorant and obnoxious enough to assume he deserves another shot without having to earn it.

    Stays retired.

Signs with Matchroom. Scheduled to fight Manuel Charr. Says they offered Tyson Fury a fight and he is ducking him.

SHOCK HORROR! :scaredas: He is a prizefighter who fights for money and nothing else.

David Haye is quite possibly the biggest hypocrite in boxing. Dont believe a word.

What did Dempsey say? i thought Haye's defence was outstanding against Wlad but he only landed one big shot in the last round and was then quickly tied up

If he actually kept his mouth shut, I doubt as many people would dislike him like they do. I dont think he cares what he says or what he has said before, he is in it for the money. He will look a hypocrite as much as he wants as long as he gets paid for doing it.

I'm not just talking about all the retirements, or him contradicting himself all the time, I'm talking about you know what.

A grown man standing on a table getting his crusty toe nails out.

But I dont think he cares about that embarrassment either.

He said he'd never fight Chisora, and he did.

The funny thing is, he was so ignorant and dismissive of fighters other than the Klitschko's, if he'd fought his way back into a position, he'd have been fighting Wlad last night and not sat in a studio moaning.

He was dismissive of the domestic scene, but is now more than willing to fight the likes of Fury if it means getting him closer to a big money fight with a Klitschko?

We all know it aint about belts, status or legacy for David. Mr. Haye thinks he is bigger than he actually is and is stupid if he thinks the Klitschko's are just gonna hand him a fight, they wanna see him get smashed up a bit before fighting him again.

The bloke has had a grand total of 28 fights, what has he actually done? Please someone tell me? What has David Haye done, who has he beat?

I'm not hating on David here, I'm just asking the question.

:rofl:rofl @ Crusty Toe Nails. I agree mate he talked so much he gave himself no out and when he mentioned the toe you could sense right away Booth was like ''shut up!!!''. You can't say you will decapitate people and destroy them and for years hound them and then when you fight them you blame a broken toe as painful as that can be.

He says things and goes back on them, many fighters do that but with Haye it's got to point where even me as a fan has had enough.

If Haye kept his mouth shut, he wouldn't be anywhere as popular or as successful as he has been. There's a reason he sells out arenas in no time, and it's not just because of his fighting ability.

It's a double edged sword though, because whilst his mouth raises his publicity, it leaves him more open to criticism when he can't back it up.
