That is alot of wins to have and with over 50 knockouts to match,he may not have the resume but his longevity is impressive

Only James Toney has more throwback numbers of fights.

    It is really impressive.

I'm not a fan of Wlad's fighting style but he has to get credit for beating everyone in front of him and always showing up in peak condition. Even for a fight like last night's, he obviously didn't take any short-cuts in training and he showed up like a professional and did his job.

The atrocious standard of the division isn't his fault - he does what he has to do with an almost monotonous consistency.

If his opponents weren't allowed to hit him on the chin, Price could have a real future in this sport.

Win or lose, the dude faces everyone regardless of any stylistic disadvantages he may face. Sluggers, pure boxers, counterpunchers, orthodox, southpaw, whatever. That's old school. He's had 8 title fights against southpaws, for example. I don't have the numbers for other champs in front of me, but I'd be shocked if any other champ had more.

What his resume lacks in top-end name value, it makes up for by being much more well-rounded than the typical heavyweight champ.

Doesn't have signature wins but is definitely one of the most skilled boxers today. Amazing how he doesn't do too much but completely nullifies his opponents. A jab and little movement is all he needs and opponents don't know what to do.

    Fighting southpaws isn't old school.

Show me one ATG heavyweight who faced more than one southpaw who isn't named Holyfield (Holyfield won against just 1)

Wlad is the only hw ATG with what you can call a southpaw resume.
Unless you count one lightheavy as a whole "southpaw resume"(Moorer/Mildenberger)
