How can you write that with credibility? He may lose his next 50 fight fights for all we know.

Yes it is opinion, this sort of thing, but boxing has shown time and time again it will bite you if you presume almost anything.

I think it's a great achievement but would have been miles better had he fought tzsyu for his title rather than fight gatti for his.

Not in the top 50. Great fighter. Passed up his best chance at a legacy fight. He needs one. It's not Canelo Alvarez.

I don't fight for legacy. I don't fight for none of that, I fight for that check. I'm in the check cashing business.

    Floyd Mayweather Jr

Money **** on his own legacy, why shouldn't I? He ducked the best and beat the runner ups. That just doesn't measure up against the greats in this sport. He is a talent untested and therefore a rich runner up among the ATG's. His greatest talent seems to have been the ability to convince others of his awesomeness without beating a single awesome fighter in his prime and not because there were none available...

So, in terms of body of work, there appears to be note very much debate that Mayweather's CV doesn't compare with the top 25 guys? I understand H2H is a different ball game. With regard to body of work though, is it pretty much undisputed he doesn't compare?

Arguing spots is a bit too specific but I'd say defeating a prime hof guy and being the best in a 5th division would move him a tier above where he is currently.

It would certainly help, even if its an impossible fight to make.

don't know where I'd rate him, but I think he might be a little higher than some have him placed. He's undefeated. Won titles in several weight classes. Spent close to 50% of his career in a championship ring. And while he does lack that " ultimate rival ", his record isn't padded by any means.

    Top 50

Great Great SFW, Great LW,Not much at LWW and missed to many fighters at WW (at their peak)

A lot can change when you fight everyone and pick up a loss or a really tough fight here and there, loss a bit of that aura, fighters learn how to deal with you better, you lose confidence, have to rebuild etc...

Hmmm..I'd have to type it out. My top 5 is

    Jones
    Robinson
    Leonard
    Ali
    Whitaker
He'd definitely fit in the top 15. Too dominant. Too impressive on film.

I love Money but this is very true, hence why he's in 45-50 for me, as a I said earlier he could have been 25th ish. i.e Pacquiao, Mosley prime, Forrest etc.

This MUST be in terms of head-to-head ability? Not P4P..
Whitaker isn't Top 5 in Head-to-Head ability btw.

He's not quite there with those guys.

    Napoles looks better and Duran.
