Lewis all day, it isn't even close. Young Vitali got destroyed by an unfit aging Lewis, total pizza faced. Wlad would hit the deck in this one against a prime Lewis.

An 80% in shape Lennox TKO 6 over 100% ready Vitali So just imagine what a 100% Lennox would do to Wlad??? He'd have him calling for his Momma & screaming to his Big Brudder "HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Lennox would smash Wlad any day

Wlad is past his peak physically

I'd say his 2nd Sam Peter or Chagaev fight might be him at his very best

I would really have to lean to Lennox though I dont think Lennox is really miles ahead of Wlad h2h or legacy like some think

Difference between Lewis & Wlad, is while Lewis was methodical at times he could bust it up when he wanted to.

I stopped doing that a long time ago.

Golota was a superheavy, it made it that much more impressive. I really don't think Wlad has that finishing ability or simply doesn't entertain it for such reasons. He was all over the place against Wach. The fact that this was the guy who was dominating Bowe was a nice payback for all the American critics who saw Lewis as 'boring'. I will be impressed if he did that to Povetkin, but I was never really sold on the WBA Champion anyways. :conf

I'd give it to Lewis all day.

But there's one thing I've got to say in Wlad's favour. Lewis's big flaw was that he was occasionally only half-committed or semi-motivated when he couldn't see the fight in a 'big' context, and as a result was sometimes sloppy in his preparation or focus.

You simply can't accuse Wlad of that. He's always 100% on the ball and never seems to get distracted or unmotivated regardless of the specific opponent or occasion. I respect him highly for that. Even some of the very best fighters had the same flaw as Lewis in that respect; but Wlad is utterly professional in making sure it never happens. And that's a massively under-rated skill / characteristic in itself.

It doesn't apply to any hypothetical Lewis-Wlad fight, though, as Lewis would never be under-motivated for that particular type of bout. It was more mandatories or run-of-the-mill paydays where he sometimes phoned it in.

I would favor Lewis, Wlad might do well for a while but I see Lewis taking advantage of Wlads bad inside game and at some point a big shot will land, Wlad will panic and get stopped.

Rhaman knocked Lewis out. Mavrovich, Briggs, Vitali all had Lewis holding on for dear life. Wlad puts him to sleep.

More deflection as per usual, at least he got a PPV fights, one that was the biggest PPV fight in at that point in history till Floyd/ODLH. How many did Wlad have that can even compare at that level? Or how did Wlad have in total on US tv?

.... And Purity, Sanders and Brewster all put Wlad to sleep, what's your point? There are upsets in boxing but Lewis was a level above Wlad.
