Many people are arguing that Wlad was still a "green" fighter when he was defeated. Other people think that he was in his prime. Again other people say that Wlad hasn't reached his prime yet or is even still at his best right now.
Therefore the question: When did Wlad suffer his defeats?

Wlads prime is very recent, possibly even now.

No one is saying Wlad was green. This is something haters made up. People are simply saying Wlad wasn't in his prime as his style and skill level drastically changed after his defeats.

He was not green, but he was very far from his prime.

This. When he lost to Purrity he was green as he has been in the game for only 3 years. For Sanders he wasnt green. He was considered a force in the HW division. If he had won that fight he would have possibly faced Lewis in his next fight. After this loss and Brewster loss, Steward completely changed his fighting style. He was probably in his physical prime in those fights but as far as mentally, he wasnt even close

Wlad has kept himself in amazing condition.

That said, he was prime from 28-34 just like most every other fighter.

However, like fine wine, Wlad is getting smoother with age. Not better, or stronger, or faster, just smoother.

He's not likely to lose again, but to call him prime now would be incorrect.

That's where you are wrong, Wladimir already hooked off the Jab well, and had a strong right hand etc. It wasn't a complete change rather refining a couple of areas to create a solid system. Remember he lost to Brewster with Manny in his corner.

  8. Wlad was in his full prime against Sanders and Brewster. Wlad said 'I never ever fought as good as I did during the early 2000's from an offensive view point. My biggest win is Chris Byrd from 2000 . Byrd was undefeated'' Sadly Byrd was already dominated and destroyed by Crazy Ike but Wlad in his dementia forgot about that.......... Wlad looked great beating up Mccline but stepped up in class and got knocked out against Sanders. God Bless his beautiful soul Sanders. Corrie did the world a favor.. we love you corrie and carry you forever in our hearts.. i'll never forget the day you had a 100% connect rate on wladimir...... it's a shame wlad never gave sanders a rematch................. wlad was pre prime against purrity but already elite................ Purrity had drug issues.... I think he was even caught snorting prior to the fight............

    Do you understand reading comprehension?
Or do you think boxing is just about offense?

He's past his physical prime, and his offense is toned down. But from a "h2h" point of view he is better than he was 10 years ago.

Steward tried to do the same he first tried to do with Lewis.
Full offense powerhouse, failed for both.
Only difference is that Lewis can change the gameplan mid-fight while Wlad sticks with the old plan.
Also the gassing was still very strange...

Because of false training Wlad lost. The last time he lost Fritz Sdunek was in the corner too. This man was the reason of his losses.

With Emanuel Steward in his corner he improves as a fighter.
But the last two fights where good but I do not like the way Wlad fights with his left so low. Banks should be careful about this. Defensiv is very important.

I know that Wlad had those weapons before ES but with steward he became less reckless and more patient. He was very agressive before steward. And his defense was shaky as proven by Sanders fight.

In fact I would say that his offense got a lot more basic with Steward.

Wlad is in his 'leg prime', which equates to chincheckers saying chin prime I guess, where Wlad is concerned. If he gets hit now, his legs can take it.

He was a far more complete fighter after his losses, as he changed his style in order to not get hit and improved so much defensively.

There are two careers of Wlad, and in the second career after his losses he was and is unbeatable against the former and current crop of HW pretenders.
