To put simply they don't have enough dates yet. If they want him to stay busy in June/July he's going to be on an undercard

Barker v Lee with a decent under card could still do 6000+ in London. and still Brian Rose main evented a Sky card.

I work out Matchroom still have at least 2 dates left to fill on there contract if you include every show thats been announced. Unless you include US fights.

The Froch/Kessler card is more expensive than the undercard of Haye/Charr. Pascal/Bute and Bellew/Chilemba are two world level fights, which the Haye/Charr card doesn't have.

pascal/bute is not part of the froch card

bellew/chilemba nobody wants to see again

    groves/tba

the haye undercard if barker/lee is on plus crolla/rees on normal sky sports is shaping upto be better than the ppv undercard

  9. looks that way at the moment

Pascal/Bute is on the PPV undercard though, which is unfortunate for those attending the event, but it has to be taken into consideration because it'll cost money. It's true to say that not many are looking forward to Bellew/Chilemba but, again, it's a big fight and it'll cost to pay for that.

The Haye undercard may end up with better fights on it but if you're watching both shows on TV, the Froch undercard has the bigger fights and they're more expensive to put on.

It isn't on the PPV undercard at all. It's in Canada it will be shown after the Froch card has finished.

What months are you counting from? When do they need to get 2 shows in by? If they only have 2 shows left and 1 is in London in September in London they don't have a lot of options other than stacking cards and putting good fighters on undercards

Exactly...huge Canadian fight. Winner most likely gets Froch, whether Froch wins or loses.

Lee v Barker would sell out in Ireland. Its a fight that would be great to see over here if Barker aint a big ticket seller in the UK. A card like that in Dublin or Belfast would sell out asap. Even if it had a **** undercard that fight alone would sell out. I know Matchroom may not want to have Barker going to fight in Ireland but its a option if they were to do it stand alone fight. Do they think Barker will be able to beat Lee in Ireland is the biggest question.
