At one time he was being built as the heavyweight savior and would dethrone the Klitschko Brothers. We all know how that turned out. The guy did absolutely nothing in the HW division, talked his way into a fight with Wlad after ducking Vitali twice, and gave a pathetic performance in his biggest fight ever. He couldn't even take defeat like a real man, he had to pull out the pinky toe and show the world of his serious injury. The guys best win at HW is probably an ancient Ruiz. He does nothing but talk and talk. I just don't get how anyone could still be a fan, or take him seriously. At one point he had the chance to man up and take out both Klitschko's but he didn't wanna fall into a supposed slave contract that would have had him fighting the brothers back to back for his biggest paydays ever. If they were such easy targets, it seems to me that contract would have been easy to except. Now, every other day I have got to read about Haye calling out an old Vitali, when again, he has done nothing to deserve a title shot besided talk. **** getting old.

After his performance against Wlad not sure how he has any fans left but you have to look at the situation the Brits are in Price who was supposed to be the next big thing was exposed as the next Glass Jawed Fraud and Fury doesn't have a Chin either and will be brutally and embarrassingly KOed as soon as he steps up.

They are left with having to cling to Haye. They don't have anyone else.

How is that relevant exactly? Doesn't change anything, and Haye will never be remembered as major point in HW history. Even though the division is as weak as it is, the Klitschko's will be remembered for dominating it, while Haye will be ranked right along with the rest of the no hopers that came up short in a weak division.

I'm quite sure that David's bankers, stockbrokers and investment counselors take him very seriously.

What does money have to do with how you'll be remembered in the sport you are competing in?

To the Ks, David and the few others that have crossed over to the elite echelon of fighters/celebreties, boxing is a b-u-s-i-n-e-s-s far beyond anything else. And, all of them are taken very seriously.

The only guy taking Haye seriously is the guy managing his bank account. Because its probably 8 digits.

Again, this doesn't change the fact that his whole heavyweight career is a joke and he will not go down as a significant player in the division. Makes it worse that he can sell out a football stadium even though he has not only looked pathetic against the only elite competitor he ever faced but he also doesn't shut the hell up.
