Ppv prices in the states, is it worth it?

    I was going to get the fight on Saturday till I switched on an saw that showtime wanted $69 to view the fight. In the Uk PPV doesn't happen so much now due to people getting fed up with the poor fight cards Sky sports were putting on. The fights in the Uk were costing around $23.
    Why are showtime PPV so expensive, are they really value for money?

    Since boxnation started they have been doing a good job supplying all the big US fights for £10 a month.
    $69 just seems way over the top. Especially when you get a one sided fight like Saturday .

    the prices I think are meant for people who throw parties or have people over to watch the fight, so it's more than one person paying

    No, they're not worth it. but they've become an excuse to throw a party. Food, drinks, people talking ****, it's usually a good time... They know we pay

    I think the kessler froch fight was 100$ in Denmark. and you also had to have an extended plus subscription to your tv plan, just to buy the PPV. It must be way cheaper in the US xD atleast I hope so.

    The only fight that will be PPV on Showtime this year is Mayweather & maybe Canelo if he has the right opponent. Everything else is "free" if you pay for the channel. So at most 3 PPV probably just 2

    I would rather pay for a khan, Rios or PAC man fight before I put my hand in my pocket for a PBF fight.
    I know he is Pound for pound the best but he is just not in exciting fights. He is probably as good a promoter as he is a fighter, if not better. Everyone watches his fights, yet they must know he's never going to be in fight of the year.
    I went to see him against cotto and that's about as exciting as he gets. He's said he would never fight like that again as going against the ropes, he got hit way too much.

    um ok nobody is paying for Khan in America unless he is fighting Mayweather. Rios isnt a ppv fighter either

    $69 is price gouging. That **** shouldn't be allowed. Unfortunately fans buy it at that price. If nobody bought it, it would go down.

    We buy it as a group so it ends up about $10 each for our get together and it doesn't seem as bad.Considering I have HBO and SHO subscription, one woudl think I get a discount. Nope, that part really bothers me.
