    I imagine the only fight where Tyson was the underdog must have been against Lewis. Was Wlad ever the underdog?

    Floyd will never be in a 50/50 or underdog fight any more. That is a testament to both his skill and his matchmaking.

    That said, the veteran Hernandez was seen by many as being too complete of a fighter for the young Mayweather to solve.

    Every great has been an underdog at least once early in their career. I swear, did some people start watching boxing in 2006 or something?

    He wasn't the under dog against Chico at all... Corrales was killing himself to make the weight and was set to do a prison stint which was all tuck into consideration... At best it was 50-50 with no clear underdog
    Truth is floyd is that good so 95% of the time he'll never be the underdog ... He other 5% he doesn't hav be manhood to make he fights

    I doubt you could name a reasonable fighter who fought around the same weight as Floyd who would be favored over him.

    Possibly Hernandez, but definitely not Corrales.

    The thing is, Floyd doesn't even take fights that are close. Keep in mind, it would take a very special fighter at his peak to make a closely matched fight.

    But there have been instances when it was possible, and none of them came to fruition. Somehow there was always a smaller fighter (Hatton, JMM) or a "retirement" or a "vacation" instead of the close fight the fans wanted.
