I think Wlad was the underdog in the first Sam Peter fight.

actually when the fight was announce Chico was the heavy fav but the spread became closer as the fight got closer.

    people mentioned Genero already

was oscar the fav? I think the money was flowing towards him given the fact that they were fighting at LMW, in a small ring and other factors that were in place.

I think there were a number of blue chippers that were considered the favourite throughout their career.

  4. Lennox Lewis:

Lewis-Ruddock. Lewis was a under dog by a fair margin.
    Lewis-Golota- Slight Under dog
Lewis-Mason : 60/40 due to the fact Lewis was in his 15th fight fighting a 35-0 Champion

Lewis-Bowe Olympics he was a 7/1 under dog

Why are people so obessed with odds? It's only a reflection of public perception. Genero Hernandez was the favorite and the Corrales odds were almost even. Neither one of those guys won a round. Those were two of Mayweather's most dominating performances. Meanwhile, Castillo was about a 4/1 underdog.

Furthermore, if you're going to use odds, be consistent. Don't say a fighter wasn't a legit opponent because the odds were wide and then dismiss other opponents even though the odds were cloe.

Floyd was underdog against Hernandez, very close odds with Corrales and De La Hoya.

Manfredy, Hernandez, Castillo, Corrales, De La Hoya

Was Floyd not the underdog in these fights?

Think Lewis was a slight underdog going into the Ruddock fight based on Ruddock`s fights with Tyson. I cant imagine he was underdog in any other fights though. Naz probably wasn`t underdog for any of his fights, even against Barrera I would have thought he would be favorite.

floyd would rather go on vacation or retire than take on a fight he could lose.

Not sure, but against Peter the first time around?

Also Kessler is being the underdog for the first time in his career this month.

Surely Kessler did not go in as the favourite against Calzaghe.

I don't remember the odds but if he had been I'm sure I would have had money on it!

Yep, not bad. I'm sure he's never actually been an underdog as a pro though.

Yeah, in 2005 vs Peter. He was the underdog in that fight.
