PPV sales are driven by entertainment value, not merit. Pac and Rios will put on a war. It will be entertaining. People will pay for it. Alvarado really wanted a fight in Denver and is now sidelined for the year with a busted hand. Floyd fought a lightweight on PPV a while back. I didn't order it. If you don't want to see what promises to be a highly entertaining fight, don't order it.
Pac was KTFO in his last fight who did you want him to fight?the toughest challenger out there? what were you expecting Pac-Canelo?
who cares about the odds. There gonna be wide but that wide because Pacquiao will never be as good as Mayweather. The odds didnt say Guerreo sucked, it said Mayweather was that good Yes i nkwo its a war because Rios has no defense. Rios doesnt derserve the fight and u know so shut up already. u sound like u got the filipino's pipe in your mouth :admin:admin
Brandon has never fought at WW and he's coming off a loss.. CPOTY(Cherry Pick Of The Year).. unless, you actually think Rios is on par with Manny...
What are u talking about?? THERES NEVER BEEN A PPV WITH BOTH FIGHTERS COMING OFF LOSSES!!! Get Pac pipe at your mouth and deal with it. Pac is milking it. Mike derserved the fight but Pacquiao is taking the easier fight and thats a fact
Iceman is in super love with Pac so dont worry about him, his post looking stuip as hell. Rios has never fought at 140 and he thinks it was the best fight for Manny
If your not gonna fight somebody in your weight class then at least fight the person who won there last fight and that was MIke. its really simple not complex
well im not because Top Rank puts on weak cards anyway. Yes I'll watch im just a dissapointed Pacquiao fan. Rios is a punching bag, Margarito was, Mosley was, just to much crap from a great fighter
A TKO might be inevitable but Rios will go down swinging he wont lay down with ease, two of the most exciting fighters in the world two guys that were involved in fights of the year in the past and two guys who like to go toe to toe, like i said legacy wise this fight means little or nothing but it will be entertaining i really believe it will considering the mentality of the fighters involved. i would rather watch Rios against Provodnikov i think that would be a more evenly matched fight with also FOTY potential but thats not happening so i'll have to settle for Pac-Rios and hope that it is a great fight.
I think it's a decent fight, no one knows what level pac will still be at, for me rios is about equal with alvarado and will provide fireworks. If pac is finished, rios will knock him out. it's still ppv worthy in my eyes. That said i didn't hate on the guerrero fight either
The two biggest names in the sport have definitely underwhelmed us at times. But with the wear and tear on Pac's body from all of his wars, plus Rios' unyielding offense, I think this is a cut above his fights with Clottey and Mosley (didn't order either of those) and above many of Mayweather's opponents (didn't order many of his).
fair statement.. i already know the outcome, now, i just hope Rios build it up and talk a whole bunch of smack on 24/7. him and Roach got some bad blood. that'll make this interesting..
Alvarado is out for the rest of the year with hand problems so he was never a possibility, Pacquiao is coming of a scary knockout loss i think Rios is a solid opponent taking all things in consideration. You can call it a cherrypick or whatever you want ,me myself im looking forward to this fight.
