Nope, both sides equally to blame. Like I said, Arum gets demonised even though the other side is equally at fault.
the reason why I don't like this fight is because it effectively will end Brandon Rios career. After the beating Pacquiao is going to give him, his punch resistance will be completely gone.
Yeah he's basically being brought in because his style will make pac look good. Poor from Arum though I'm sure he'll be paid well enough.
+7 hours but it will be +8 hours on fight night. Rios will probably fancy his chances though and I don't blame him; you've got to believe that that KO took something from Pac. Add in a year out of the ring. Could play out a little like Martinez/Murray although admittedly they are different situations.
Rios rehydrated upto 160 lbs last time out so let's not pretend he's a typical 140 lbs fighter. Rios is going to be eating leather and making millions so he'll be happy as a pig in ****. I think he is a more hurtful puncher than Margo. He has a nack of making guys go wobbly when he lands even though the punches don't look that special.
Does anyone reckon his rehydration is why he looked so sluggish, slow and gassed in his last fight? He just didn't look his usual self at all. If this fight is at 147 then it suits Rios slightly better, but he lacks head movement, and anyone who lacks head movement against Pacquiao ultimately takes crippling punishment.
I don't think he looked that much different myself. He's piled on the pounds post weigh-in for as long as I can remember . I give credit to Alvarado who managed to keep moving and not let Rios plant his feet like the first war.
Pac should get a rematch with Marquez ASAP. Marquez hired the world's best steroid expert as his strength coach, and the guy is the world's best when it comes to cheating on drug tests. Check it out, there were commentaries on it. Pac almost had Marquez out, but steroids will do wonders for any boxer. Next time Pac should either take steroids, or get tests that can't be cheated on..........................Pac by KO in a rematch....................
Pac will love this fight against a come foward fighter rios is good strong and tough but if he walks foward in straight lines like most his fights hel take a bad beating
In fairness, from a promotional point of view, this is a great fight for Pac. Rios will play the part to a tee, tough, aggressive and action-packed fighter who will play right into Manny's style. He will get demolished and the massive new Chinese market will lap this up.
