What heavyweight do you think will be champion after Wladimir Klitschko retires?

It will be musical belts like it was in the early to mid 1980's.

Yeah, sadly no real standouts, unless Usyk decides to go pro at HW (he might go for LHW to start out) and transitions OK from amateur.

I like Boytsov, but he's still looking like he's going nowhere. Pulev's my pick, but he needs to show a bit more work in his fights. Fury, just no, and I don't think he has the discipline to improve much. Wilder, again no, but possibly with greater potential than Fury, his strength and speed might see him through if he can pick up some boxing along the way. I haven't written off Price, but that chin's a worry - same goes for Fury and Wilder though.
Abdusalamov, still slow as treacle, but very durable, he has been losing weight and looks a bit better than he did, but not much skill to be seen.
Arreola , Stiverne, decent journeymen - they could get a look in just because of the lack of talent elsewhere.

The way things stand, a decent Cruiser could even probably move up with some success, a la Haye, but the sheer size of a lot of these HWs makes power a necessity (eg. Cunningham/Fury).

Chances are, as already posted, there'll end up 4 beltholders who never fight each other.

 

I really don't get the hots people seem to have for Pulev.
He's VERY basic, although well schooled.

 

Not gonna argue with that, solid basics and essentials, reasonable all round. He seems to have the stamina to go the distance, patient, solid chin, and he seems to be one of those punchers who deliver real cumulative damage. It would be nice to see a little more urgency in his fighting, but he gets the W.

Hots for him? no, he's no standout, but solid with no real weaknesses, with the current crop I think that's enough to put him in front - though for the sake of the division I'd love to be proved wrong.

- Except he seems to be plagued with physical problems, and that might never stop at this point. But, yeah, if he can somehow get motivated, he could definitely be a force. I don't see it happening, but OK.

 

Charismatic and entertaining? No, he's a fat , slow , glass jawed british bum .

A future champion will be Tyson Fury's cousin, 6 foot 8 inch, 18 year old, former Jr. Amateur champion Hughie Fury. He would best Wilder now, and he has had only 2 pro fight, will have his 3rd one in Canada this month. This guy has speed, straight punches, combinations, defense, power, you name it.

I can't understand why Huggie is already mentioned as the next "Savior of the Heavyweight Division". That's a bit (or actually a lot) jumping the gun right?!
I saw his last "fight" like many of us did and he looked impressive, but he was fighting a guy who just couldn't take a single big punch wich tells us nothing about how he will do against better opposition. He moved well though.

He's still in the business of bumbashing atm, and we will learn nothing (except if he actually loses or does bad against one of those) until he fights a tough journeyman.

 

None of the above.

None of them are good enough to be undisputed champion who are currently contenders. We will have the trinkets passed around like pass the Russian prostitute around at an Arab business conference.
