Wlad has fought a stream of bums lately. I include Povetkin in that number. How does Wlad get on against these guys? I reckon they all provide him with very tough tests. Malik Scott - The fastest, slickest HW around. Malik is nothing like any of Wlad's previous opponents. His superb head movement and outstanding body work would see him school Wlad to a decision. The HW Mayweather. Bermane Stiverne - Another skilled HW who would also cause Wlad trouble with decent body work, which Wlad is not used to. Furthermore, his murderous power would have Wlad's legs quaking like jelly should he connect. He's not too slick, though, and I worry that he would eat jabs and straights all fight long like most Wlad opponents. Tyson Fury - Boxed extremely clever against KJ, in a similar fashion to Vitali. If he boxed clever against Wlad, he has a real shot, and Wlad is certainly not used to being the smaller man in a fight.
Scott - Wlad beats him by UD in a fight that would make it hard for the viewers to stay awake. Stiverne - Wlad knocks him out as Stiverne would never be able to land on him. Fury - Wlad knocks him out and hopefully stomps on his head while he's on the ground.
Wait Povetkin a bum? What did ****ing Scott ever showed that you think he could be a hard test for Wladimir? Fury? Would get knocked out! But it would be an very interesting fight! The same with Stiverne! Because both guys have enough power to hurt theire opponents. Wladimir wins all of tehse fights via Knock Out.
Scott killed Glazkov with body work. How many fighters have gone into a Wlad fight and used a sustained body attack to break him down? Wlad has no experience of this whatsoever. No way does Wlad KO Scott. He can't hit what he can't see, his jabs will be hitting thin air all night long.
Scott's highly skilled, but he's not got the power to keep Wlad off him, nor is he totally unhittable. Wlad might have a bit of a boxing match on his hands in the early going, but his power and gruelling clinch work would pay off in the later rounds and probably result in a KO or clear decision win. Stiverne would get kept at bay by the jab and strafed with right hands till he drops. Don't see this being competitive at all. Fury? No contest.
A guy who went life and death with Huck is not going to pose any threat to Wlad. Scott, Fury, Stiverne, Haye, Pulev all beat Povetkin.
You're either bigging your man up, or you're badly underestimating Wlad's speed and skill level. Scott's not Roy Jones. He's not even Chris Byrd. Wlad will be able to hit Scott and hit him hard. Maybe not at first, but he'll get to his man at some point. As for Scott's bodywork, negligible. He'll be too busy defending against the jab to get into position to land decent body shots, and I don't see him doing enough damage with them even if he does.
Yeah Huck on beast mode is very weak:!:... Every fighter has weak performancesatsch Your hype for Scott is getting really strange. Your boy Scott is a sparring partner for Povetkin this is all he has to offer. He is no real heavyweight! He is so featherfisted it is really strange. Never saw a big guy like Scott with such low power.
You over-rate the importance of power. The aim of boxing is to hit and not get hit. All else is irrelevant to people who KSAB. Those who DKSAB give precedent to things like "aggression". Unfortunately, this DKSAB segment consists of some misguided judges, which is why Scott was robbed against Glazkov.
Why do you think Lennox used Scott as his primary sparring partner? Why do you think Wlad used Scott frequently many years back? Why do you think Povetkin is using Scott now? It's because he ****ing knows how to box and provides a unique test. I hear Johnathon Banks is a big fan of Scott. Hopefully he can use his close relationship with Wlad to persuade him to take the Scott fight.
I think you are underestimating Scott's speed and movement. Everyone who has sparred with him will tell you he is more slick than any other HW. But I accept your criticism. There is still room for Scott to improve in tough fights. He learnt his lesson against Glazkov, he knows he needs to place more emphasis on throwing a high volume of punches. I think he outboxes Wlad and negates Wlad's negative and illegal tactics.
No it is important. ESPECIALLY when you fight Wladimir. Wladimir can just be beaten if he gets stopped! When he dont gets stopped he wins EVERY fight CLEARLY! So far not one single boxer was able to have a close fight over 12 rounds. But you think Scott could have it? Scott had a competitive fight with Glazkov (in Glazkovs first fight against a good opponent) and you really think Scott could give Wladimir any problems? Scott has not one single win over a heavyweight contender and you talk about Scott being a threat for Wladimiratsch
They use him because Scott is a good sparrings partner. But there is a difference between being a good sparrings partner and a great heavyweight:!:
Scott beat Glazkov when he was fighting at 50%. He was clearly robbed. Scott at 100% would 120-108 Glazkov and give Wlad a real test. Nobody and I repeat NOBODY moves like Scott. Wlad has never had to deal with that.
