Big George is the most under rated also. He won the Gold Medal after boxing only 1.5 years and 20 amateur fights. That is unbelievable and maybe his most notable achievement. He destroyed an undefeated champ considered to be the best in the world at the time. Frazier doesn't get the credit he deserves because of that loss. He won the lineal Heavyweight title 20 years after losing it. NOBODY could do that. Imagine Big George fighting in the days of Jack Johnson and Jack Dempsey with 5 oz. horsehair gloves.

Tyson and Vitali may have never had a ten-year rest period, but each still had a long rest period in their careers (Tyson for jail, and Vitali for TKO6).
He wore the same red trunks he wore with Ali 20 years earlier. Looks like he finally avenged that loss to Ali. The only other athlete that I could come up with that could win it all 20 years later is Secretariat since he still holds the record to all the Triple Crown races. Certainly no boxer could do it. There will never be another George Foreman
Secretariat would have not been able to win it all even 5 years later. Had Secretariat raced in 1978, he would have been no match against 4-year-old Seattle Slew (1977 Triple Crown winner) and 3-year-old Affirmed (1978 Triple Crown winner).
Big George was amazing, but I cannot justify putting him over Louis, Ali, or Holmes. My favorite heavyweight, but the greatest, he is not.
Only born in the 80's so not seen much of him other than the rumble an espn classic highlights but full fights cut down to 5/10 minutes of highlights tell you nothin. For my time I can't see past a prime tyson or lewis...... auld man had a lot to say about how powerfull he was though Anyone suggest 2 or 3 good fights to watch him in?
The most lopsided destruction of an undefeated Heavyweight in history is a good fight in 1973. Frazier was an equal to Marciano. The Norton fight in 74 another 2cnd round destruction. After that fight he was 40-0 37ko .Lost to Ali the next fight. Ali is the only human who could have won that night. 15 months later he took the toughest fight he could Ron Lyle who 10 months earlier knocked out Big Ernie Shavers. Those 3 good ones. Later on Holyfield and of course the great win over Moorer doing the unthinkable just of 46 years old. Frazier Norton Ali Lyle Holyfield Moorer a few to start out with.
