It's very simple folks. Floyd fights anyone worth a damn like Canelo, Maravilla, Pacquiao, etc those numbers will be huge. Any history making fight will sell. Anything else just won't cut it anymore. Happened to Pacman now to Floyd. Giving the people what they want, it never fails.
I am glad that some people are getting tired of the handpicking and not paying for it. Floyd is great no doubt, but he has to fight for the fans who are paying good money to watch him fight. Pick a better opponent next time. Take the chance and fight Canelo. He weighs 175 between fights? Well instead of all this nonsense of cleaning up the sport with testing, why not keep weigh ins on the same day as the fight. It would be very hard for guys to have a big advantage if they did that, and not have the weigh in a day before the fight.
Only way to make a diffrence is to boycott !Good to see fans finally getting fed up with such garbage match ups !
I'm surprised.. I know Floyd is definitely surprised. I thought this fight would do 950 easily.. but I think this is really bad news for both Floyd and Showtime and really only good news for HBO. It is also really good news for other top boxers like Broner and Pacman who would fight Floyd because maybe they have some leverage now.. although it's not nearly the fight it once was, Floyd vs Pacman could be a great fight still.
Everybody in the world screaming for PAC vs mayweather = sorry, can't make the fight Nobody in the world screaming for Mayweather vs Guerrero, except for Robert Guerrero = perfect, let's make the fight and charge everyone $60 Is it me or did some slimy, money grubbing business men get what they deserved? I swear boxing is ****ing crazy, it has completely turned basic business principles upside down. Instead of supplying what is demanded, boxing supply's what no one is asking for. According to boxing Business principles I should start a business where I provide colonoscopies to people between the ages of 18-22. If your asking your self who the hell needs a colonoscopy at 18, you my friend are on the right path to understanding boxing business practices and will be hired by GBP promptly.
at one time, tr and gbp were co-promoting pac. gbp sued tr (for underpayment) for intentionally under reporting/not counting all the ppv buys and other revenues earned. for once, i believe gbp's accusation.
no.... what really took the gas out of his PPV was the Alvarez withdrawal.... i think his post-fight interview helped out alot and i think he's on his way on gaining more fans as long as he's coming off genuine. His All Access was a mixture of genuine and absolute horrific faked narcicism, or however the hell you spell that word. Watching him hand out "stack o' cash" like he got them in his pockets all day is just disgusting and disingenuous. **** like that is what causes him to lose respect and fans. You KNOW he aint just doing that all day, he's doing it for the camera, and that's called being ****ing fake. No one just got "stacks o' cash" and walking thru the neighborhood and passing it off to random strangers or your mother. Who the **** does that lol? Its ok to flash your bling and show off the pride of rewards of working hard, but please Money, stop with the "stacks o' cash" schtick, it just makes you look REALLY insecure. Other than that, i bow to Mayweather as a boxing god.... he is THE BEST of his generation of boxing Even a pressure fighter started to hesitate coming in by the 4th round. When i saw that, i knew the fight was already over........... NO ONE can defeat him, barely anyone can even be competitive with him.
Who cares? It was a great card... If you are a Boxing fan. If you are a Hater? You probably missed it.
