I meant now, but thats a good example, Pac is at his natural weight right now but before he was doing that

lmao you dumbass that is their normal weight, someone like Ortiz who weighs in at 164 on the night could never make 147 or 154 he could probably make 160 if he tried
Everyone would be in higher divisions than they are now with some who dont rehydrate that much

The 20+ pound advantage would be huge for Canelo but Mayweather's speed, footwork, defense, counterpunching, accuracy and overall skills should overcome this size and power advantage.

Don't many people proclaim that boxing was best when you had the likes of SRL, Duran, Herns, etc?! If so, then maybe same day weigh ins would help rivalries since all of the past greats all fought with same day weigh ins.

Even if you don't have same day weigh ins, people should be smart enough to take that into consideration when assessing a fighter and his work. Floyd has done what really no one in this current game does...fights in divisions he essentially walks around at. Lets see Sergio fight at 175; Canelo at SMW; etc.

So, let's keep status quo because the corrupt bodies that rank these guys, will have their rankings all fvcked up. Yeah....great outlook for the sport, yet you claim someone like Floyd does nothing good for the sport with his cherry picking ways. lol

don't be a ****ing idiot !! any fighter that stays in shape can maintain and compete in their weight class with out cutting or adding weight ..

Fighters like Hagler , Monzon, spinks, Sugar ray, Terry Norris , all maintain their fighting weight between fights you stupid ****.
These fighter now days are not even half the fighter they were.. The reason fighter are allowed to re-hydreate was suppose to be for safety reasons but fighter now are abusing this and using it as way to gain an advantage over their opponent.
Re-hydreation is not being used for what it is intended.

yes he could they did in the past .. and they can do it know .. Fighter can now drink re-hydration drinks during the fight so same day weigh in should no longer be an issue.

I meant if you change it right now everything would have to restart so would rankings

Yeah i know when it comes to Floyd it is all just skills, but if your gonna fight in a division and then not fight a certain guy in that division because the guy is just too heavy is a bit dumb
Right now theres no one good at 147, Canelo or him are the best at 154 why not fight the best guy if there is no one else to face

True, but size can overcome skill; size, not necessarily weight. Thing is that weight and size tends to have a significant correlation when you are speaking of athletes. Point....no matter how skilled Floyd is, he never beats a Klit because there is too much size.

    Problem is:

-Challengers usually come to the opponents division for the title
-No one is doing anything to Floyd because they aren't in a position to.

Fact is that almost many current day fighters fight opponents with a good weight disparity between them and it's often times advantageous to one of the fighters. Floyd doesn't and never has, so it's not hard to add that to the level of difficulty in what he does.

    thanks you !!

Fighter are using re-hydration as a way gaining an advantage instead of using for what it was intended.

lol them guys knew they couldnt rehydrate so they went into the weight division that suits them
Like now boxers go into weight divisions that suit them, Bradley fought in the amateurs at middleweight because he didnt rehydrate so did Berto
So your saying these 2 can make 140 and 147 without rehydrating after?
    You dumb ****

Also, when one looks at a modern boxers skill set, IMO one should also consider how well they fight while being dehydrated to make the lower weight classes. I think people would be shocked if they knew how much impact dehydration has to an athlete. There is empirical evidence that clearly indicates this phenomenon.

Gatti did this and permanently ended a fighters career (Joey Gamache).. which why the states of NY does not allow weigh in after fighter re-hydrates ..
As har as anyone knows his Gamachi suit is still pending.

It has its positives and negatives, Canelo's stamina is ****, Floyd shouldnt have fought there then, he knew Cotto could outweigh him because Cotto wasnt a threat but I dont think Canelo is a threat to him but he does have legit power

Im saying if you add it in now it would be ****ed up, them people went into boxing with it like that if they suddenly changed it every division ranking and that would be messed up, we would be seeing Gamboa vs Floyd
