I shot someone two days ago in self defense!!!
Man, life is crazy sometimes. I am coming from the gym today and one of my guys from the gym, Zeke, calls me to say he is at this particular spot a couple towns away and something is about to go down. I know the situation, I have been to this exact spot before and know what type of stuff happens there...so I call my other friend "Hangover" (aka Lance) and I stop off to scoop up my step son (he was involved in something at this same spot two weekends ago so he's involved in a round a bout way I am sure.) So I pick him up and we go, when I get to the parking lot Hangover is there waiting and we see Zeke, too. So we head over to where the beef is, Zeke goes in first where these woods are...Hang and I both have our pieces with us and actually Zeke does too (he just got his the same day!).... so we go in to see exactly what's what and all of a sudden bang bang bang they start shooting at us!!! I am running one way, "Hangover" is another, we lose track of Zeke, my step son is somewhere but I cannot just jump out into the open and find him, I assume and hope he knows enough to lay low and hide until whatever this is blows over!!

I don't even know these guys, I can peek around and see their faces from behind this structure I was hiding behind...never seen them before...Zeke was here before us but I don't know what exactly happened, we just came to see, like the cavalry...Now here I am in these woods being shot at ...I wanted to run, I cannot lie, but I was afraid to come out of where I was holed up...I don't know what these guys have but I know right away they are carrying fully automatics and I have a semi....there's like six of them....I want to run and I stick my head out looking for a break and all of a sudden bang bang bang, right by my face... I hear them go flying by my face!!!! I am scared seriously but I stick my head out again, it's nothing but adrenaline, and see this guy pointing at me , shooting, then pointing at someone else and shooting, Hangover maybe...my heart is racing, man!! I have to do it, though, and when he turns to look in the other direction I shoot about four times and hit him twice in the shoulder and arm and he goes down!! I don't even look at him again, my adrenaline is high now! I turn and look and see another guy behind a tree or something in another direction and he is shooting, its like a crazy video game!

I reload and spray in his direction and hit him, too!! I have NEVER shot anyone like that before...never....and don't think I am crazy but it felt good in a crazy way....now, though, I don't even know where my guys are...no idea....I am running towards where it looks like the woods end but I cannot get through....there's a barrier there so I duck down inside some really high grass/bushes, like four feet high...I am laying there face down on the ground, cant even get up out of fear....if someone saw me here now I am like a sitting duck...and where is my step son?????

All of a sudden I see this total stranger coming towards me, sneaking around this giant wooden thing there in these woods...I think he is coming to shoot me...I am waiting for it but somehow he not only doesnt see me but he turns his back to me as he creeps his way around the area, like he is looking for me and assumes I am in the opposite direction from where I actually am...he has his back to me and slowly walks AWAY from me, but...is he going to get my step son? Is he going to shoot Zeke or Hangover ...or did he already shoot them??

I need to end this..whatever happens I need to end it.

A total stranger he is but he put himself in this position just as I did...it's him or me.... I have to do this, I AM SORRY...please understand, I don't normally go around shooting people, its not like I do this every day or anything....but I got myself in this situation and I don't want to be shot so my human instincts take over

So I stand up slowly, as quietly as I can, and I point the gun at him...AMAZINGLY he doesn't hear me and he doesn't turn around, either...I am nervous right then but I open fire!! I hit him I think three or four times...he goes down, almost like in a sitting position! Stupidly I don't even look around to see if anyone else is there who wants to hurt me...I am just looking at this guy I just shot....and he looks at me and he actually speaks to me, he reaches his hand out, I am getting closer to him ...his gun is pointed away from me, he is not a threat anymore...he is obviously in pain but he actually says "good shot" to me!!!

YOU BELIEVE THAT??!??!?

I am telling you now...

believe me when I tell you, I realized it today more than any other day of my life...

just like today...there are many tough situations in life, you will find yourself in dire straits, in tough spots, in moments where you have to make split second decisions...in the ring I have found myself in some tough situations man, but it's true what they say... paint ball is no joke, either

 

I duno.. I would guess probably a while ago.. I think he was just talking about it.. I think he has been cleared of the charges because it's self defense.. probably happened in the 90's... Just an interesting read.
