Look let's be realistic here. Wlad/Vitali/Lewis would dominate any era of HW boxing

Look. I'm no Klittard or Lewtard. Just someone with objective judgement.

It's their size along with their boxing arsenal + modern day nutrition

They bring too much to the table.

I understand that many of us love to reminisce about the great hws of the past... but don't take it too far where it gets to the point of blind nuthugging. Being a blinkered fanboy really is going to sway your judgement.

It's so ridiculous for someone to suggest that Dempsey/Joe Louis/Marciano/etc would beat the Vitalis of today. Vitali is 6'7, has a granite chin + immense punching power. He's huge.

    Thoughts?

The ONLY exception I can think of is Mr.Muhammad Ali who would be a great match with the 3 I stated in the title. But then again, Ali would fall to the 3 I stated above MANY times in a 10 fight series.

The reasoning for this is because he was a once in a century kind of athlete. Someone with godlike reflexes, chin, (not so much punching power), and possesses great movement.

And plus he had good height for a heavyweight along with good reach. Not Lewis reach but good reach nevertheless.

He has also proven to be able to beat down hws bigger than him. Most notably Foreman.

Agreed 100%. too many boxing fans suffer from rose colored glasses syndrome. most of the old greats wouldn't stand a chance against Wlad, Vitali and Lewis. too big, and too skilled.

They wouldnt dominate the 90s era with Lewis and Holyfield..

  6. I don't want to go into details.. but people just don't realize
how shockingly surreal a prime Ali was.

    64-67

64-67 Ali was untouchable and he will ****ing clown Vitali to a 11-1 UD.
    He will dominate Wlad 8-4.

I'm a huge Lewis fan.. but one thing I know for sure is this

A shot version of Ali took punches from Foreman non stop... Foreman punches at least as hard as Lewis or Wlad.

Lewis and Wlad have NEVER fought anyone as fast as Ali with the combination of heart+chin+skills.

Ali had his short comings, faults. He can be beat.

    Lewis/Vitali/Wlad could beat him.

Each of the 3 brings something different to the table. Ali would have his hands full with either 3.

    Surprised to see this thread.

It's true indeed, but anytime someone mentions it they get 1000 "old timer boxing fans" who would love to tell you about how much technique has regressed since the black and white era.

Boxers get bigger and, with the globalization of the sport, they get better. People need to grow the **** up and deal with it. A one eyed Joe Frazier isn't beating guys like Vitali no matter how many stories you tell about the sound his left hook made when it hit a heavy bag.

  9. I agree.....but Vitali quit against Byrd..and Ali was so slick he make Byrd look like Kelly Pavlik....

  11. Ali will make Vitali quit. you stupid ****ing moron.
Byrd made Vitali quit. Byrd was a ****ing middleweight.
Ali was 6'3 and can fight at 225 easily... without losing much speed.

He will make Vitali quit like a *****.

No reason to condemn him for it. It was extremely serious and it could have damaged his career if he went on with it.

I've never experienced a torn rotator cuff, but I'm very positive that if it had gotten worse, it COULD have hampered his career.

    Not worth it.

Could you just stay out of this thread? I find this topic is very important for the boxing community to address. I appreciate your efforts but if you could just stay out of this thread it would be great.

  14. Well .... he himself said that he was in MORE pain against Chisora and the only reason he continued was that chisora pissed him off.

So that clearly indicate he could have continued against Byrd?

  15. Say please and I will.
Could you PLEASE stay out of this thread.
