Should Mayweather make the Canelo fight before his skills decline to much?

Most people would pick Floyd at this point to beat Alvarez but he is on the downside of his career where as Alvarez is only going to improve.

 

He should fight Alvarez next.

 

September 2013 or May 2014 Cinco de Mayo is good. However if I am in Canelo's team I would be going for 2015.

 

His skills won't decline.

But his physical attributes might. He looked sensational against Guerrero, but it's possible that that could have been a one-off and that an average Guerrero obscurred the true picture a bit.

Either way, he'll fight Canelo next and he'll beat him.

 

Alvarez is good but he is ready made to order for Floyd.

 

I wouldn't go that far. He's already outgrowing 154. By then I imagine it will be harder for him to make weight. 2014 would be their best chance.

 

I say fight him next May allow hand to heal and fight a right hander as his last 3 fights were against natural southpaws (Cotto is left handed just fights conventional)

 

Beating Canelo would be his greatest win.

Uncle Rico if the fight in 2013 or 2014 Floyd definitely wins but perhaps in 2015 Canelo may have a better chance.

 

I agree. But don't you think 2015 could be equally has hard if he's struggling to make weight?

 

The longer he waits, the better Canelo's chances are. Right now Floyd could take him.
