Maybe Wlad can“t throw them good on the inside. Uppercuts can also be outside punches (Ricardo Lopez and JMM being the best examples of lead uppercuts)
Stfu newb Wlad is **** poor on the inside, he knows it that's why he holds on for dear life until the ref breaks it.
He has one move: clinch. That's it. He holds on until the ref separates the fighters. If the ref does not separate them far enough, he clinches again. Anybody comparing this to vintage Ali obviously hasn't watched the old tapes. Newbies shouldn't be allowed to comment on things they haven't watched.
Why fight on the inside when you are a tall fighter with long arms? It is much better to stay on the outside and beat the other guy down.
Does leaning on your opponent and pushing him down to gas him out count? In case you say no, then 0/10.
He doesnt really utilize it, even back in the day pre Steward he didnt have much of an inside game even when he was the most aggressive The one time he had an inside game that looked great was in the last round of Peter II when Manny gave him an ear full so he came out and would push Peter off and with both hands threw these hook/uppercut looking swings and put Peter away outside that little instance no he really doesnt, but like others have said he doesnt really need it
Not too many people going on about Tommy Hearns' inside game either, are they? Look at Wlad's dimensions. This is a guy whose best interest is fighting outside. Ever notice how we didn't see Mayweather fight on the inside until Castillo? That's because he, like Wlad, is NOT going to be out boxed from the outside. The idiots who think Wlad should throw uppercuts (a far riskier punch) when he has the best jab, 1-2 in the game don't know **** about boxing. For the record he knocked Peter out with an uppercut.
Even if he had the skill (which he does not), Wlad would be stupid to fight on the inside. It would give away his entire arsenal of advantages. Guys like Lewis and Bowe were dumb to employ inside fighting as regularly as they did, especially against shorter opponents.
