David Haye: "Fury spoke my name, we contacted his team, they didn't want the fight"

Haye has a history of saying other fighters don't want to fight after he prices himself out. He probably wants 70/30 versus Fury.

 

Fury is in a final eliminator for the IBF title. He's also getting close to a WBC final eliminator.

It wouldn't be a wise decision for Fury to fight Haye right now.

The sneaky Haye didn't want to fight him until Fury showed his vulnerability against Cunningham.

 

Fury also showed that against Pajkic, Chisora and Firtha. Even though he is matched carefully (has not faced one good puncher) he already was hurt and dropped plenty times. HAye would love to fight Fury and Fury is very smart not to fight HAye. Pulev himself has not great power but even Pulevs power might be too much for Fury.

 

Considering no one outside of boxing fans knows who Fury is, and it'd be career high payday, 70:30 wouldn't be a bad deal for him.

 

70/30 would be a good payday for Fury.

 

Someone with a merit and record-based view (as opposed to popularity-based) might have a hard time convincing their pride to accept 70/30, if it makes money sense or not. Haye would be the primary draw in a Fury-Haye fight, but that doesn't mean it'd be easy for an undefeated fighter on the way up to accept something less than an equal share.

I believe Haye in this case, because this is the same thing Fury did when calling Wlad out.
