How is he dominating his division when he isn't even the best fighter in it?

 

There is no way to know that. He is fighting the exact same fighters everyone else is. Haye is fighting his leftovers. Tyson Fury is fighting his leftovers. Do you even watch Boxing? Your questions are idiotic.

The guy came back from 4 years off with no tune up won back his belt and has lost maybe 5 rounds in the process. But that isn't dominating? :roflatsch

The only other guy that is good is his brother. Do you expect them to fight?

Wlad and Vitali can only dominate 3 tier eurotrash and blown up light heavyweights. Lewis got knocked out 2 times by 1 punch in his era. No heavyweight who ever lived could completely dominate any era that there has lots of talent because no person is GOD and everybody will lose.

 

Rahman was 238 and arguably stronger than lewis.

McCall was a 231 built like a train.

Puritty was 6' 5 249 not 6' 3

They would be giants in 60's/70's division.

 

I'm happy with the way this thread has turned out. We're getting all the "Wlad = Primo Carnera", "Chris Byrd destroyed Vitali", "Lennox couldn't beat Holyfield" type of idiots out in the open.

A certain amount of respect must be given to fighters of previous eras, but the idiotic fanboyism here is sometimes as bad as the YouTube comments on a Tyson highlight video. People are too used to the status quo of certain fighters being regarded as almost unbeatable that when new eras come along who certainly could beat them, and badly, they have a meltdown.

Big thanks to the guy who spent 20 posts insisting Macriano walks through Lewis/Wlad/Vitali. You're helping out more than you realize.

 

Stop pretending they're the same person. Vitali and Wladimir are two different fighters with two different resumes and two different rankings.
