Diaz next would be ok since he's just given Khan a hard fight but anything more than 6 months away and it loses a bit of it's appeal due to his age.
There must be a problem between Brook's ears to be on this much of a slow burn with both W*rren and now Hearn. Have never heard a promoter come out and be so honest about the fact his fighter was clearly bricking it before a fight as Hearn did after Brook's outing in the states. And that was against a no name opponent.
I guess Cintron would be considered to high risk for fast Eddie with the punching power Kermit possess although Brook is by far the better fighter
I really don't understand this risk thing....sooner or later a fighter has to fight the best to be able to call himself a champion. You can't cherry pick yourself to that position, its ****ing lame. If Brook can't beat Kermit ****ing Cintron then he might as well pack up and **** off.....This picking a safe route to a "world title" really gets my goat
It is embarassing. Hearn talks so much ****, he is a total amateur. Khan this, Khan that. He basically made his name in the promoting game on the back of Khan. As with McCloskey, he thought he'd get Prescott over, hoping McCloskey would dominate him and make the Khan McCloskey rematch a possibility. We all know what happened there. Now with Brook, he's trying to get the Diaz fight so that it makes the possibility of a Khan Brook showdown all the more realistic. It is frankly pathetic. He has no plan of promoting Brook, apart from piggybacking of the Khan name. He should be getting Brook to fight some real opposition, instead of this joke of a rematch with Carson Jones. This is a step backwards.
It looks like Hearn is trying to go the Hatton route with Brooke maybe he's not as confident in his ability's as his fans are. Cintron fights at 154 now.
:deal He should make an offer the fighter can't refuse similar to what ****** did with Zoo and Kotelnik.
I don't think that Hearn is confident, and I have a sneaky feeling that Brook isn't either. I don't know what weight Cintron operates at now, but his name cropped up and I used it. It could be any name from the 2nd tier of fighters at 147.
Would love to see Brook vs Cintron Another thought, what are Judahsintentions with regards to the weight he fights at now? I know he was calling on a second fight with Garcia but if not he would be a great test for Brook Carson Jones fight is a massive cop out, I know Eddie has a good working relationship with the guy and/or his promoters but he cant just wheel him out as a credible foreign opponent all the time... He'll be in with Groves next!
Diaz next. Then Senchenko. Go WBA route. Broner will probably vacate but it's a no lose fight that one (if he doesn't). Carson Jones fight is pointless. Although it is cheap for Hearn. Of its at Hull then it's essentially a headline fight too.
What's Senchenko up to now? Surprised no one has cashed in on him yet. Bigger name than Diaz with casuals due to Hatton fight and he's very beatable. Stylistically he's perfect for Brook. Senchenko 1st then go down WBA route
Cintron would be a woeful opponent. Totally gone at top level. On the Jones rematch, it's not a bad fight at all. The first fight was one of the best fights in the UK last year so don't understand the hate for it. Brook fans are making excuses about how he hurt his nose but he did look like **** in the 2nd half of the fight. It's not as though Jones isn't going to try and pour it on after the way he finished the last fight. We'll certainly know a lot more about Kell after this one.
December 2010 - Kell Brook WBO #1 May 2013 - Kell Brook IBF #1 (Estimated) February 2014 - Kell Brook IBF #1, gets his first title shot. Manny Pacquaio was WBO champion from 2009 to 2012. IIRC he never fought a mandatory during that time. Frank could've pushed for a mandatory. If they accepted then Brook would have had a career high payday/maximum exposure but a loss (in a similar vein to Rees/Broner or Barker/Martinez). If they refused then he would've fought for the vacant title and probably won. If he stayed with Frank he'd either have had the biggest/highest paid fight of his career or he'd be WBO champion.
