David Haye "Floyd more exciting than Wlad, fights the best.Wlad pads his record'

  1. "The difference is that Mayweather fights the best out there consistently," Haye told Buncey's Boxing Podcast on ESPN. "Cotto… this guy here Guerrero, was no joke. This was a serious guy, I actually had people, respected people telling me they thought he had a shot.
"Every time Mayweather has a fight people actually say that. They say, 'this could be the fight that Mayweather gets old overnight, this guy has a chance'. And every time after the fight it's like 'OK, this guy didn't have a chance'. It's exciting.
"Before this fight there was an element of excitement. The crowd was buzzing but at a Klitschko fight it's the complete opposite. Everybody knows what the result's going to be and it's about when Wladimir decides to start throwing his right hand with some mean intentions and then the fight is over."

"I looked through his record and the standout name, the name that jumped out at me was his 23rd fight," Haye said of Pianeta. "It was none other than Mike Middleton, the guy Audley Harrison had as his debut opponent.
"But these are the type of names that this guy's padded his record out with. Although he was undefeated he had a draw and that was to Albert Sanofski so I think that lets you know the guy's calibre.
"He had zero chance of winning. He was there to make up the numbers and the Klitschko train keeps rolling on. He could have another 200 of these types of fights, he could have one a week if he wanted to.
"He picks up €4 or €5 million for an event like that. The German people seemed happy, no one was booing, so while there are people handing over their hard earned money for it, he's going to keep piling it on."

Well he's got a point to some degree. But what you must understand is that the contenders doesn't seem that eager to be facing Wladimir or Vitali.

Mayweather hasn't always fought the BEST there is, but he doesn't fight bums either, he fights good fighters ...Klitschko fights too many bums, that's obvious!

Funny thing is Haye has been fighting Vitali's leftovers. Haye might as well be criticizing himself since he's in the same division Wlad is in which is very depleted. This guy complained about his toe after losing a fight by decision. Imagine if he got knocked out. You think he'd have the desire to turn his career around like Wlad has? Hell no. I don't mind Haye's trash talking as long as he focuses on someone else. He's already gotten his shot at Wlad; their business is done. It's over. Move the hell on. Stop being so obsessed with Wlad. It only tells me Haye is envious of his success.

The padding out reference was to Pianeta

His points on Wlad were valid, the outcome is known prior to the fight. haye was the only real test he has had in years-and Haye blew it. Doesnt stop his point being true though.

    Fck me, context!

Sure, Wladimir hasn't fought the best when he fought Pianeta and Mormeck.
Wach was unbeaten and had the right to claim a shot I believe. Despite being a pretty senseless rematch, Thompson is/was still a top HW.
Also Haye himself has is taking on guys coming off lopsided defeats against Vitali.

  10. Obviously Floyd is one of the greatest ever wheras Wlad is the most boring heavyweight champion in history who is also a massive cheat.

Haye is losing control with his hate on Wladimir lately. It's like he has been forcefully hiding it for 2 years.

He is more exciting, he does fight better fighters, and he does have a better record.

Haye is correct but he always seems so bitter whenever he says anything about the brothers so it kind of diminishes his point.

He really appears to have struggled to have accepted his loss......graciously.
