Rigo's a G

“It was an easy night’s work beating the 2012 fighter of the year Nonito Donaire on April 13th but beating Mares will be even easier. I have already beaten Mares in the Pan American Games by a wide points margin of 17-7 but with the headgear off and these small gloves I will knock him out. However, if he wants to step up to the big time he should take this challenge. I’m sure my promoters can make it financially worthwhile for him and for Golden Boy. Of course, if he simply wants to be an undercard fighter and not rise to this challenge, that is his right but all will know then that he is afraid to fight me,” stated Rigo.

    fixed.

Anyways, Rigo really is a bad dude and would take Mares to school, too.

His challenge is empty. Fight Mikey at 126, Mares would.

yes good fight. I'd struggle to see what Mikey could do that donaire couldn't.

Rigo is also fortunate to be in a division and time where he could put together a HOF resume really fast.

Donaire is a better Fighter than Mares IMO.

Mares is VVVGood nut Donaire and Rigondeuz are a step above

Do I favor Rigo to beat Mares? Yes.

It won't by any means be easier when he's in against a guy who's comfortable and capable of fighting on the front foot, bringing pressure with a much higher work rate and has the tools and tactics to make it a very uncomfortable night. Not that Rigo's nuclear counters don't give you a very convincing incentive for the activity to drastically plummet, but Mares is of a completely different mind set than Don Aye Rhee.

    And Afraid? ***** please. :rofl

Really, Really though: Would he lie to his mama like that?

Donaire isn't a step above ****. He had the chance to fight Mares but he sat his ass down for less money instead.

Rigo/Mares is the fight that needs to happen. Won't, though.

it was a promoter fued. no reason to blame one over the other.

it pissed me off when oscar tweeted after the defeat, something like, you should have accepted the 3 mill.

What a dick. For one I'm sure donaire earned a hell of a lot more than mares did fighting on the undercard.

And two, donaire was the much bigger name at the time, so he was the one who should be offering mares a flat fee, not the other way around.

If Donaire was this huge name surely he'd have gotten more from Top Rank than what GBP offered but he didn't.

It was funny when oscar tweeted that, especially when Donaire was acting like such a NonitHoe afterwards :D
