    In general terms boxing forum posters use the term "bum" to describe every boxer who.
    1. Has ever lost a fight
    2. Has ever boxed
    3. Was ever born

    Has to be somebody at least outside of the top 20 of their division (and that's being harsh already) who doesn't have a strong amateur or early pro background in the sport and possibly does something else for a living and possibly fed to better fighters regularly. If you come anywhere near a championship belt or #1 spot you are in no way a bum.

    If you ask ESB you will likely hear that fighters like Cotto, Rios, Pacquiao, and Donaire are somehow bums. A few losses against elite opposition or not being a orthodox fighter apparently makes you a bum these days.
