I don't know what to think about this situation.

Truth or a marketing strategy ?! If they want to keep this big fight for the end ?! :think

Maybe they figured out that another K.O loss for Bute will end his career and they won't make any $ after that, so they will keep matching Bute with B level fighters with good names in Canada and keep the Pascal fight for the final ?! :think

what do you think guys ?

I think this fight is 'postponed' for the last year before Bute retires. He said that he will fight till 35-36 years old and then he'll retire. A final big payday for Bute before he retires :yep

If Bute cannot beat Pascal then he is not really a top fighter.

Hey, at least it will happened.

You're just forced to wait a little longer.

So it's more a "might happen" than a "will happen"?
I just assumed it was a straightforward injury and it was back a couple months.

Why, because some are sensible enough to see that he is done and in cash-out mode?

You should be more disappointed in Bute into deluding himself and his fans that he was elite material while hiding in his backyard his whole career.

Bute is not in cash-out mode, sad hater. He is in redemption mode. He doesn't think for a moment he is done but he is aware that his confidence has taken a hard hit and it won't be easy to come back. Emotionally, he hasn't given up at all. He is working harder than ever to prove that he belongs at world class level.

What some Bute fans think of his chances of coming back as good as ever is another issue. Whether his promoter thinks he should cash out, again, is a different kettle of fish.

indeed, its more of a might happen.

anyway, I wouldn't mind to see Bute fighting next against Dawson or B-Hop ...

Bute is done at top level... He had a close ass fight against Grachev... A guy who comes from kick boxing and had just 11 pro fights.
Nobody, except Bute fans, think he is still at world class level.

"A guy who came from kick boxing and had just 11 pro fights", I would say, doesn't do full justice to Grachev. He performed quite well against Erdei (by some accounts). Let's see him against Ridriguez in July.

I think it would be wise to wait to see Bute in his next fight before deciding what level he is at.
