    Actually it's like:

'Hey Fel .......... what % do you think you have of getting an A in biology?

    I say.. Around 50%

Hey Fel.. what % do you think you have of getting an B in biology?

    I say around 65%

    That adds up to 115%

It does have to add up to 100%.

You mean that your uncle 'LiL T', who apparently was a co-worker of Ellerbe (back in the day of Vicious L) over 20 years ago, just rocked up to Ellerbe and not only got an answer but a specific breakdown of the 5 opponents and percentages of each fight happening? :rofl

    This dude is hilarious...

  4. Horrible reply. No idea what you saying.

Ok let me explain this more clearly.

LET'S USE TWO FIGHTERS FOR YOU MATHMATICALLY INEPT ****S.

    Khan and Canelo .

    Got it?

Now Leonard.. what will you say the chances of a Khan fight happening is?

    Ellerbe:
    50%

Leonard.. what will you say the chances of a Canelo fight happening is?

    Ellerbe: 10%.

That don't add up to 100%. It DON'T HAVE TO.

It's just his guess on what's the rough estimate of the fight happening in relation to EACH FIGHTER.

Now if you combine them and say Floyd MUST FIGHT ONE.

    The math becomes

    Khan around 80%
    Canelo 20%

  5. Explain what's the difference. You can't.

Even now Paquiao is still the most exciting fight. By far.

  7. What's the chances of the current HW ERA VS PRIME LEWIS.

    Top 10

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Haye etc

    Wlad 30%
    Vitali 20%
    Haye 5%
    Povetkin 5%

    etc

it don't HAVE TO ADD UP TO 100%.

It's just the chances of EACH FIGHTER beating Prime Lewis.

You are using the % symbol.

    That is percentile, a percentage.

Percentage is out of the whole, or 100%. It has to be.

You were giving chances of one of these fighters being in the September
fight with Floyd. So the percentages are about the same fight. The only way
your percentages work is if you allow for multiple opponents. And that would
indicate a 0.45% chance of Floyd fighting all fighters you mentioned. But please
carry on, math is not for everyone.

In this example no, because each fighter is fighting their own individual fight.

But in your example, where he can only fight one of those listed fighters in September, the sum of the parts must equal the whole.

  11. Ya but ..

Say someone ask you what's the % of you going out with Girl #1

    You say 25%

    Girl #2?
    You say oh 99%

    That passes 100%

IT DON'T HAVE TO ADD UP TO 100%...

If I said there was a 99% chance of dating Girl #2, I would then automatically be insinuating that there is a 1% chance of dating Girl #1, or less than 1% if I left open the option to remain single.

  14. No.....

    Say Girl #1

Someone ask you...What chance do you give yourself of succeeding with her?

You say very high.. around 90%

    Girl #2

What chance do you give yourself of succeeding with her?

Oh pretty high I say 50/50

    Wrong Nonito, Wrong!

He's talking about being involved in a polygamous relationship. It's a trick question.
