Amir Khan didn't need fixing! Should have stayed with Roach.

At the moment I would favour even Frank Gavin beating Khan.

In additions to the numerous wars in the ring, the gym wars at the Wildcard have really taken their toll.

He doesn't have much more left in him & I agree with people who think he's shot/on the slide. Pretty sad at 26/27 buts it's the truth

All he needs is this track reinstating into his ring walk. :bbb

Yes he did have a good run but someone who gets knocked out in a round by Prescott, goes life and death with maidana and gets lucky with a long count against willie limond there are always going to be question marks when he steps up. Khan clearly has shown himself to be far from an elite fighter. Yes you could argue that completely changing his game to counter his most obvious flaws would be a waste of time and I would agree but not because he "doesn't need fixing" but because he will never be an elite fighter. In my opinion he should forget about trying to become something he will never be and simply look to pick up a few paydays because with his defence, he could be doing himself serious long term harm

I'd honestly give it by the end of 2013 if they're planning on throwing him in with Alexander. I reckon he'll get knocked out, and then GBP will throw him in the sink-or-swim pile along with Ortiz, J.Lopez, etc. They'll give up on trying to engineer his way to the elite fights, and use him as fodder for other welterweights in their stable. Because win, lose or draw, Khan seems to have a knack for keeping his name relevant and drawing attention; making him the perfect guy to beat if you want recognition (ask Prescott, Garcia and Peterson).

    Yeah.

GBP Will keep hold of him, win-or-lose for a while yet.

I mean come on, who else in Boxing guarantees excitement like Khan? not many.

I don't like him personally, but his fights are ****ing thrilling.

He also makes most fighters look like Julian Jackson . Honestly, sometimes all a fighter needs is a thrilling KO on a big occassion to propel him to stardom. Khan gives that opportunity to every opponent he's up against.

His defensive skills looked worse than ever last time out which I thought was where the improvements were supposed to be. I don't think it matters that much who is training khan. He can't help but get involved in a brawl. He is good to watch so I just hope he carries on fighting the same way.

Idont think Khan has the intelligence to improve too much under Hunter.

Its like Hunter will tell him stuff, Khan will nod, Hunter will say " do you understand " khan will nod

And it will all go out the window in the ring lol

I like watching Khan but I think he lacks power to scare anyone decent and he lacks Ring IQ

He will get knocked out again

Amir Khan's whole pro career seems to have attracted a continuous stream of punditry trying to 'explain' or 'blame' or 'remedy' his limitations by concentrating or who his trainer is or should be.

At some point you have to say it doesn't really matter which trainer he has. He's an erratic fighter with some excellent tools and some severe limitations.

He'll be looked back on a lot fonder. So many entertaining and exciting fights. I don't see him getting past 30 unretired though.

khan and hunter are like the weirdest combination in boxing, you have one who tries to be inteliigent and talk clever and comes up with intelligent game plans the other one thinks he is playing donkey kong on his old super nintendo

recent julio diaz interview on youtube he was asked to rate khan. diaz was lost for words..replied like "..what is there to rate? he has no ring smarts, no tricks of the trade, fights like an amateur, nothing to rate..". Now either no trainer khan has had has tried to teach him the tricks of the trade or Khan just does not have the ability to learn. I think Roach realised this early on and just tried to make the best of what Khan could do.
