can't take them seriously anymore. you are a undefeated pro, 2 time gold medalist, beat the p4p number 4 and you can't go up in top 10? :huh you beat mares in the pan am games in the amateurs and mares who beat ponce is in the ranks and you beat more dangerous donaire and you not in the ranks :huh wlad beats a cancer survivor and is 4 best boxer in the world p4p :huh broner beat up nobodys and is 6 canelo beat trout who was recognized by many as 154 king and is 10 :huh
broner and canelo are goldenboy fighters. Rigondeux is not. Its as simple as that really. Did you notice they put Ghost in in the build up to the floyd fight, only to remove him straight after to be replaced with floyds next postential opponent, Alvarez!
Rigo beat that ass too one sided. If he had fought more "fan friendly" or "not boring", he would be on P4P. That's how that BS P4P works, it's not always about skill. How long was Manny the pretender #1 on that list, same with Phonaire?
Yup, complete joke. Donaire was coming in a top3 P4P-er on many lists, the fighter of the year title and Rigo, unbeaten over 12 years, winner of 2 golds and pro world title belts completely dominated the SBW#1 picking up the lineal belt. Easy top5 P4P-er.
floyd fought also boring and is 1. rigo at least throwed some combos from time to time and mixed it up a bit. floyd was arguably 0 combos.
You don't take amateur accomplishments like that into account. A win over a current pro in the PanAm games should not carry so much weight. However in any case I do not like their rankings.
I think beating Donaire means that Rigondeaux should be top ten P4P, but Mares was 17 when they fought in the amateurs and is bound to have made big improvements since then.
here are the actual lists http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/...-fischer-and-rosenthals-pound-for-pound-lists
Their rankings do seem to get worse by the month. Wlad at #4 isn't even the worst of it - Broner being 6th is actually offensive. Froch and Rigo should be in there but whatever, they clearly aren't concerned with being taken seriously.
