Miguel Cotto in negotiation with Freddy Roach

Freddy is in serious decline with his Parkinson why would any world class fighter go to him.Diaz is the best trainer for Cotto this late in his career

 

Cotto got some serious problems with losing. Diaz brought out the best in him vs Margarito and Mayweather.

 

He needs to stick with Diaz. I dunno wtf this **** is about.

 

i dont see any results coming from roach if cotto decides on training with him. shouldve sticked with diaz. more important to me is his strength and conditioning thats what cotto really needs to focus on for this fight. only benifet for me is getting to see him train at the wild card on media day..

 

Maybe training at the Wild Card, I suppose that is where he would train, would do him some good. Also, maybe he is looking to get the services of someone like Ariza which could help with conditioning. From what I read, there wasn't anything serious with negotiations. Just talks and that they were not even sure when Cotto would make his ring return.

 

Cotto has turned into such a *****...he's just like DLH now...every time he loses it's the trainers fault not his. I used to have a lot of respect for Cotto but that respect is gone. Especially after thee way he leaves the ring like a baby when a decision doesn't go his way. I think Diaz did a great job getting him ready for Mayweather...don't see how Freddie Roach is going to help him at this point. He needs to just stick with one trainer

I really dont think you can teach a guy whos fought for 20 years under various coaches and who has been in the ring with the best fighters over the last decade, anything new.

Hes 32.

You're not going to change anything about him at this stage.

Help him with motivation perhaps, make sure hes the best he can be.

But you're not going to change him as a fighter at this point.

I don't think I have ever heard Cotto actually blame a trainer for any of his losses? Someone who faces Margarito, Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Austin Trout isn't a "*****"

 

I think he is done..and even the best trainer in the world couldn't help him or improve him

maybe he is just that type of guy who gets motivated and feel fresh by always a change of scenario

Diaz teachings have created one of the best versions of Cotto yet. Cant see how roach will improve on that All that power and aggression but with a lot more movement,speed, timing and boxing. Diaz is one of the best
