Mate please get your facts right Martinez was rated No1 @SFW with the ring mag Ricky schooled him and this guy don't punch like him,plus Ricky's improved bundles since and doesnt get cut so your talking as we say in Glasgow PURE PISH!

 

Gonzalez throws some wicked shots to the body from that one video, he also looks to throw a low volume of accurate punches. He's a big lightweight.

Looking at the record of Gonzalez, 22-0 (17) he stops a lot, knocks a lot down, and is clearly winning the fights by rounds. Never been knocked down?
Opposition less than stellar, but he's cruised through them.
It looks a tough fight for Ricky. Good win if he can get it though, you don't need these unknown challengers with undefeated, KO records.
We should know tomorrow night who is for real. :good This has the makings of a great fight.

Gonzalez will not have fought anyone with Ricky's workrate and precise punches

 

If Martinez was rated number 1 by Ring Magazine based on beating Nicky Cook(average) for the title and then defences against Feider Viloria(bum) and Gonzalo Munguia(bum) then it goes to show what a shitty division super featherweight was at the time.

Just because Ricky hasn't been cut before dosen't mean he won't be tomorrow night. I agree that Gonzalez isn't a knockout artist that his record may indicate, he's actually a very accurate intelligent puncher who places his punches very well especially his body punching and hooks.

Billy, you seem nervous about this fight. Bet you thought some South American bum was coming over for a payday and to lay down for Ricky but now you've seen Gonzalez you've realised he's coming to knock out Burns and take the titles back to PR which i'm almost certain he will.

I hope Ricky proves me wrong as he seems a lovely guy and is a credit to the sport of boxing but i just have my reasons why Burns will get beat in this fight.

This is the LIGHTWEIGHT division. I've said this before. What is relevant at this moment in time, Lightweight or Super Featherweight?

I guess its Lightweight because thats where Ricky currently is. Correct? So people will talk about him as a Lightweight fighter now, not 3 years ago when he was fighting at Super Featherweight.

I answered the question regarding Ricky not boxing anyone in top 5 he never mentioned what weight and I proved him wrong

 

Why bother Billy, Ricky will KO Gonzalez tomorrow night and Gonzalez will go from "a real threat" to an "overrated bum" in the doubters eyes.

There is no doubt Ricky is a world class Lightweight, he has a bit of everything in skill, speed, strength, skill and power although nothing great in any of those categories.

If Ricky does stop him tomorrow i will be very impressed and give credit where it's due in the same way i have for his wins over Martinez, Moses and Mitchell. I just don't see it happening though and maybe you're under-estimating Gonzalez in terms of his skill set?

My prediction still stands. Gonzalez wins this between the 8th and 10th rds on a corner stoppage most likely cuts after Burns has been getting banged up in rounds 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Billy, who is your cutman for tomorrow? i hope he's one of the best there is in British boxing as i'm concerned about Ricky getting badly cut tomorrow night.
