Kubrat Pulev is overated on this forum folks. Just look back at his fight with Walker. Walker almost had him out of there. Pulev has beat no top names. Alexander Dimitrenko is total **** and he took almost the entire fight to stop him. Alexander Ustinov is his best win and he is trash too. Pulev lacks punching power as he only has 9 KO's in 17 fights. He could not even KO glass chin Walker. Fury is going to be Pulev with ease. Someone please make a case for Pulev being rated so high by the IBF and the white loving Pulev fans on this forum. Fury has fought better opposition.
The only true statements in the OP are that Dimitrenko is **** and Ustinov is trash. Be that as it may, Pulev is actually very good despite not having proven it against top opposition yet. :thumbsup
Wich better opposition is this? Furys best win is Cunningham... I dont see a big difference between both resumes.
Well, as said above I really don't have a very high opinion of either Sasha. Ustinov is a plodding moron, and Dimitrenko has never lived up to his potential and is now a shell of himself. (sort of like a heavyweight Zab Judah, but worse) Sprott is ancient; Walker and Rossy are C-level (but in with a puncher's chance against contenders with any chin issues); and then you're left with Pulev's early career which admittedly was on a fast track with Oloukun, Page (shut out by Pulev but also by Fury, so that is canceled out) Skelton, Guinn, and Vidoz. All of those are decent but probably no single one is better than Fury's best: Chisora, Johnson & Cunningham. Granted, Pulev has more decent names while Fury's quality drops off after his Big Three - but all three stand up h2h against Pulev's best. Chisora, Johnson and Cunningham are each better than Oloukun, Skelton, Guinn and Vidoz. :good
Fury has fought better opposition??????? Cunningham Johnson Chisora (260lbs fatass in their fight) Rogan McDermont (losing one) Pajkic VS Dimitrenko Ustinov Oloukun Rossy Walker Guinn Sprott Skelton Vidoz Don't think so. Pulev has the better resume on paper and in ring performances.
Its a sad indictment of the HW division that Pulev is as highly rated as he is. Be that as it may, there are still some good matchups I'd like to see.
It depends on what you think of his last two opponents. I consider Ustinov to have been a club-level puncher with a padded zero, who never ought to have been within miles of contention - and Dimitrenko to be a washed up waste of talent. That said, I like Pulev a lot and don't wish to rip his resume apart...(and, conversely, I hate Fury) - but it is what it is.
...and yes, I do concede your asterisks on Fury's resume that he should've lost to McDermott the first time and that he beat the worst version of Chisora we have seen.
Pulevs no threat to Wlad but hes still a better fighter than the Danny Garcias, the Miguel Cottos or the Conelos of the world
