I don't think he even approached Hearn.

I was there, not a huge turn out to be honest but to be expected at 13:30 on a friday afternoon. I had to fake a "doctors appointment" to get there myself.

I thought McDonnell looked a little tight at the weight but Ceja looked good.

Stuart Hall barely made weight, had to get bollock naked and his opponent Santiago was 1lbs overweight they gave him an hour to sweat it off.

The local news was there filming, I saw a feature on Calender news and Griff has recently linked it from his twitter.

I walked by bout 12.30 on my way to work and there were a few around but nowhere near as many as I expected to say its a world title fight and most of doncaster are unemployed lol.

I expected it to be rammed, i've seen McDonnell fight several times at the dome and he always has a large vocal following (The atmosphere for the Hall fight was incredible) and while they did get more raucous when Jamie stepped on the scale it still like you say disappointing for a World title fight.

Then again i saw absolutely no advertising for the weigh in anywhere around Donny bar a couple of Tweets from McDonnell himself.

Hope the weather is kind, the lad gets the job done and he has more luck afterwards with scheduling and television roadblocks

So, Hobson handycam-ing the fight himself eh? Should be worth the money for the comedy.

Hi, we haven't been given a running order. The only thing I can confirm is the McDonnell fight will finish by 10pm so it will need to start around 8:30pm
