Name ATG'S that have been dominated by non elite fighters. For the ENTIRE fight.

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Stylesmakefight, May 10, 2013.

  1. Wladimir-Sanders is the only fight that I can think of in which an ATG was completely dominated by a non-elite fighter for the entire duration of the match.

Tyson won some rounds against Douglas and looked competitive at times and even knocked down Douglas.

Lewis was ahead on the cards against Rahman in a close fight prior to getting knocked out.

Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Junior Jones was a close fight on the cards prior to the stoppage.

Is there any fight in which an ATG was dominated from start to finish outside of Wlad-Sanders?

Lennox Lewis KO'd by Oliver McCall in the 2nd round.
Don't even try to say, "well Lennox looked good for about 90 seconds."

Various fighters like Jack Johnson and Sam Langford and many other pre-1950 boxers lost a handful of decisive fights early on in their career. Case by case basis on the true recognition there conquerors would deserve from such given where these future ATG's were in their inexperience.

  9. Lewis won Round 1... He was ready to continue.. how the hell is that being dominated?

Lewis hit the deck once.. was ready to go.... The rest of the fight was them exchanging jabs and punches.

WLAD VS SANDERS was Wlad missing 100% of his punches and Sanders landing at a shocking 98% connect ratio via jabs and punches......... that's domination.
He also fell down 4 times.

    Try again.

It's funny because you got all touchy in that 'schooling thread' because nobody agreed with you regarding what a 'schooling is'.

    A schooling=Wlad-Sanders
    Get it?

    You are nuts.

Creed knocked Balboa down multiple times, including in the opening minute of the first fight.

And he won the first fight, so he didn't get dominated.

The second fight, obviously Balboa won, but it was a life-and-death affair.
