He'll fade in the later rounds.

    Round 3

Jean leaps in as Pendarvis is swerving in toward him, away from the ropes, winding up a left. Accidental headbutt is the result. Jean is badly cut by the right eye, actually high on the cheek. Pendarvis is hopping back out of the way of Jean's left jab and darting in to pick at him with his plunging left. Nice movement by Pendarvis, but still in a bit of excess and while keeping Jean's percentages low he's still wasting a lot of energy.

    10-9 Pendarvis

    30-27 Pendarvis

    Round 4

Pendarvis is spreading his legs out wide, countering with his left from a deep lean. Jean picks his spots with the right hand behind a wavy set-up jab. BIG 1-2. PENDARVIS DOWN, SHAKY. UP. JEAN UNLOADS ON HIM!! Pendarvis unresponsive on the ropes! Waved off!

    TKO4!

Hell of a right but Jean won't ever be elite.

Peterson handles Jean with ease. (for those who didn't know, Peterson vs. Matthysse is non-title so the belt won't change hands)

Pretty much. Nice power but not enough to go along with it.

Pendarvis is actually far more well-rounded but his flaws are more damning (iffy chin and jumpiness)

Jean's slow hands, low output, and lack of creativity will hurt against world class opponents but he'll probably get away with them against the rest of the field...contenders, gatekeepers, etc.

Probably, but I still think Lucas is going to get the best of Lamont.

Nice overhand right, that shot is very effective against southpaws but it's dangerous to throw. Garcia landed it on Zab but Canelo had trouble landing it on Trout.

Good to see Pendarvis tell Jean to "take it" to Peterson, very classy and sportsmanlike.
