    Ricky is very lucky but he deserves it for the heart he showed in that round 7. Cannot believe Gonzalez would just quit like that though.

    One of the best boxing performances iv seen for yrs then he quit. Unreal. Gonzalez looks special but needs rounds. Jesus he needs rounds....

    Gonzalez was the better fighter but lacks heart and stamina. Burns clearly has both in abundance

    Maybe he just broke his wrist. That would be pretty taxing to fight with tbh.

    Gonzalez didn't have the heart to match his skills. Ricky making through that 7th round broke him, Ricky was pouring it on in the 8th & 9th, effectively or not. Still deserving champion IMO, he made Gonzalez quit.

    Burns is VERY lucky that Gonzalez quit, that's all that needs to be said.

    I'd love to see a rematch.
