I used to think that Burns would give Broner hell. Not now. It would have been an easy victory for Broner, and I hate that arrogant dick. What a strange ending too... Jose virtually had it in the bag, hell he had to have a draw at the very least... Burns wasn't landing ANYTHING significant in rounds 8/9 :huh

If it wasn't for his gloves, he could have probably bet in play during the first 6 rounds.

Yeah Broner has that skill but so much strength to go along with it.

Yeah good one mate. A world champion trainer should be hounded off the forum. I'm sure he knows a little bit more than you.

To be fair to burns, i thought the game plan was all wrong from the start. He thought he was up against a crude slugger (maybe he reads this forum?) he was forcing the fight when there was no need to.

Still think he's world class and the heart he showed in the middle rounds was immense.

    I'm glad Ricky one.

Hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard.

Even if Gonzalez broke his hand then you still have to question heart. Floyd fought Hernandez with one hand for like 10 rounds. Williams ko'd Potter with one hand with a dislocated arm. Conditioning is one thing, hearts another.

Ability is only one part of the equation.

Lucky in a way that Gonzalez is completly unexperienced at that level and that Gonzalez did retire although he was 6-7 rounds up...

Hardly, if gonzalez won by two rounds he gets a draw.
Great fight but ricky got pretty lucky there, he got schooled for huge parts of it. I'd like to see a rematch.

That's true his legs were gone after that counter right he went from being in complete control to ****ed in pretty much one exchange.

Sorry but did you see the last few rounds before the retirement? Gonzalez was a guy who had shot his load, Gonzalez holding Burns hand up after the fight tells the whole story

  13. Anyone got a link to the Jamie fight?
