I had an ominous feeling for Burns tonight

and then he shot his load, got frustrated, and quit, it doesn't matter if he wins 7-8-9 rounds out of 12 if he quits in the 10th

Anyway, go look at Burns vs Yakubu Amidu, this isn't the first time Burns has willed his way to beating an awkward puncher who was winning on the cards

the man wasnt hurt, and theres no way to determine a "broken wrist", with a hand in full wraps and tight gloves on,

he had the fight completley in the bag, burns could do nothing with him

    then

gonzales stopped doing anything and quit:huh

All that happened tonight was Ricky Burns got completley exposed- ring rust or not !

Going forward it will be back to soft touches,

There was nothing suspicious about the ending. Some boxers have less heart than others. Pretty simple really, he just lost heart when Burns didn't fold like previous opponents, began to feel the pace, injured his hand......everything got magnified by his tiredness and he found a way to lose. Basic human psychology.

 Nobody quits arbitrarily unless there's foul-play; you only quit if you've been imposed upon or compelled to do so. Christ Almighty work it out.

It's called being a front runner, simple as that

plenty, PLENTY of fighter have looked a million dollars in the first 6, then ****ed for the next 6

Go and watch Breidis Prescott batter the ever loving **** out of Mike Alvarado for the first seven rounds, then crumble in the tenth

yeah but he had a nice break for a 2nd wind- if that was true

Burns didnt "will his way" to anything.

    He didnt "break his heart"

and he didnt show "Scottish dogged determination"

he got whipped in every round then his opponent stopped throwing and quit

dont listen to sky watch it yourself

He didnt look right in the corner after the 9th and I thought he was gonna pull out before the commentators even said it.

Obviously an injury. Some will say he quit and Ricky broke is heart of course, and Sky will go with that to, afterall Ricky is there fighter. They will say that. Some will say Gonzalez is a quitter and should never have quit regardless of injury.

But what can you say? You cant forget the rest of the fight. He was miles in front guys and I like Ricky.

If there is a rematch, I believe Ricky will win, because he will learn from that tonight. But bloody hell did they get a gift there. They may not say it, but its the truth.

I wanna hear what Eddie says after this. Will he be honest?

Those later the rounds that Burn's won were based solely on work rate; very little quality getting through.

In a nutshell, his trainer was gobsmacked when he quit, injury my arse

Okay so he found a way to quit, doesn't changed the fact ricky got a boxing lesson.

Fair play to ricky though like i said he took some good shots, but sky could of at least got an interview with the guy instead of spouting bull****.

I would take your point if that man was broken down, but he wasnt and he wasnt taking anything and even the round burns did well in he was clearly outclassed, in every aspect

I just dont buy it, because he was beating rickys ass so easy, too easy- this is the key point

even if the man just jabbed he was winning easy - really easy

    so what is it ?

    he shot his load ?

    or

    he broke his wrist ?

Its a load of bull**** thats what it is

no wonder they been keeping burns away from the top names in the 2 divisions he held the wbo title
