The current Heavyweight Division is one of the best eras ever

Through proper nutrition, a wider pool of talent because of the worldwide expansion of boxing, and the progression of tactics has led the current HW division to be the best ever.Top fighters in today's division would destroy top fighters in previous eras. The average height and weight of every fighter has significantly increased compared to those eras. Boxing also generates much more money because of how big it is worldwide. This means that any up and coming boxer can fight anywhere in the world and make a living. It lets guys focus on training and getting better in the ring instead of earning enough money to live or working another job.

HW boxing, along with every other division in boxing, is much stronger today. The Klitschkos, for example, are so good in this era that competition from previous eras would be laughable and they would dominate them. Due to the huge pool of talent the Klitschkos face fighters that would be top fighters in previous eras on a consistent basis. In previous eras, champions fought bums throughout the majority of their career before taking on good opposition.

Do not mock this present era of heavyweights. Its quite the opposite to what the American media makes you believe. Why does the American media not cover HW boxing as much and try to demean it? It's because the USA no longer dominates HW boxing. This is such an ignorant thing for the American media to do. When America dominated HW boxing, especially during Tyson's era, other countries covered boxing and televised all of the fights live. Now that Ukraine dominates HW boxing, all the other countries cover them except for the US who doesn't even televise HW champions. That's embarrassing and it shows how sad of a situation that the politics of a country directly affects the sport. The US and the people that live there need to lose their egos and understand that the US is not the center of the world and other countries can be good at their sport too.
