people like to focus on his fight night weight and forget that he DRAINS down to 154. Being huge is a double edged sword that's why some refer to him as gasnelo

I know they cant but they will and can put some pressure on them. They know and Mayweather knows that if the Ghost fight just barley broke a mil then theres no way a Devon fight does a mil. Showtime doesnt wanna go down they wanna go up. they cna make the suggestions and see what happens. Also the whole Golden Boy team (which makes his fights) can make suggestions also.

the problem Mayweather has is that hes fought there twice already. now hes a very small 154 and its not his weight class. but when you have fought there before then why not now? I think showtime will only have a problem if his next fight doesnt do a MIl buys.

Still Mayweather fight him at a catch weight of 151 is still more dangerous then Garcia, Devon and Khan. agree?

there is a difference between fighting cotto at 154 and fighting a guy that weighs 175 lbs at 154. Floyd weighed 147 the night he fought Cotto

At 154 its 50/50 imo that's a GOOD thing, people want a GOOD fight. Why act like we want an a fight that's skewed in the favor of one fighter?

    You just explained why.

Get on board with Dunks, boxsensei, etc and those other delusional mother****ers. I'm not down with this nor will I ever be. I'm a hardcore fan, not a dick rider.

I don't see why he doesn't belong. He makes the weight.

Margarito always made his 147 weight, PWill made his weight. Why aren't they chastised

Yes i know that but DLH was 168 that night. I know he was the bread winner so Floyd had to do what he says and i feel hes doing that to Cotto too but we all know that 147 its not gonna happen.

I'm the biggest mayweather fan out here. kicked with his pops, uncle, bet with him at the M resort. seen his house, all the works. but demanding Canelo to fight at 147 will not get the fight done. 150-151 is respectable. im gonna say it doesnt happen this fall but the pressure will be on like crazy. and it'll be waaaayyyy more then the Pac fight becasue theres no Arum or blood testing problem

Sorry, I don't possess the capability to visually discern weight differences between athletes, with such resolution. Like I said, source of fight night weights on those fights or it's BS. I watched those fights and I don't recall there being such an in ring weight disparity, but I could be wrong.

Canelo dropping 3 pounds will not mess up the fight. that would only be to get the fight done. Lets be honest here. u think Mayweather coming in at 1444 would"ve won Marquez a few rounds??? NOOO!! Mayweather said 144 (even though i guess he didnt plan on making weight) was to get the fight done. im happy he did the catch weight because it got the fight done and u can see how styles makes fights.

so Canelo coming in 151 is not gonna make him slower or anything. maybe less stamina by a round, hell if i know but Mayweather is still waayy better then him and we all know that

I just noticed that was in response to my post-

martinez comes in at like 165-167 typically, Pavlik and Chavez routinely came in at 180ish. So I exaggerated a bit, but I can say the same for a few in here.

I don't see anyone posting factual sources of floyd's fight night weight.

Then why did he not make the weight? Are you saying Alvarez should do the same- agree to it and not comply? Because I'm 90% sure that won't end well.

Showtime has no pull because they decided to give him the contract. May could do whatever the **** he wants, as long as he makes his 6 fights.

I don't think it's the haters, it's just reality. Canelo being the biggest challenge doesn't mean he is a great challenge . There's a difference. It only means that there's nobody else. If Canelo were to beat May, it would send shock waves throughout the boxing world. It would catapult Canelo to an extreme level. Most people would be shocked, including boxing experts. But if he wins, he beat a guy who he was supposed to beat. Unless you think very highly of Canelo? DOn't get me wrong, it would be a good win for May, but isn't May always in the discussion as the "Greatest Ever"? How can a 22 yr old, just come in out of nowhere and beat May? We're talking about an All-time GREAT vs a kid who is just starting his career. If Canelo retired today, he wouldn't be in the Hall Of Fame.
