Agreed BA. Loved the atmosphere and Burns coming to the ring through crowd who was going mad for him. Choi vs Simpson was a beautiful trade fight and was a great idea to put on show. Choi won IMHO..

How about Simpson v Choi II on the next Burns card?

I had Choi winning also mate, 115-113. Think he won 5 of the first 6, 9th or 10th (can't remember which) and the last.

Saying that a case can be made for Simmo winning too, but he was never going to get the decision up in Scotland, the score cards were terrible.

I'd love to see it, Not sure Simpson's people would go for it again he may be game but i think Simmo's coming to the end personally. Think he's gone through to many wars and i think he was feeling every shot from Choi last night who i had winning clear enough.

Buckland does a right job on him :deal.

That Burns card in September has plenty of options

Eddie didn't seem to like the idea post-fight. Don't know why thought, it was a belter.

Great show last night by Matchroom, the main event and co-support were both class, got to give Hearn his due, I hope he can keep up this standard, proper Saturday night fights at the top end of the bill.

Absolutely, Buckland is very good. Shame he isn't getting regular fights on TV, great to watch.

No. I would like to see Simpson v Lindsay in Belfast on September. Hopefully Selby will have vacated Lonsdale by then and they can go for that or some type of eliminator.

I thought it was a good night. The thing I like most about what Hearn is doing on Sky is that he's made boxing feel important again. There were so many shows on Sky before which just felt completely lifeless and outdated, but when you see that sort of entrance from Burns, it gives you goosebumps. It felt like a show at MSG or in the MGM in Vegas, which is exactly how a big fight should feel. The lighting, music, MC etc., all contributed to a really good atmosphere.

I think it's great, personally, and it legitimizes Burns are a world champion to have that sort of production going into his fights. It helps the build up, the fight itself and everything after it, so whilst Hearn can't control how exciting a fight will be, I think he's done a very good job in making his events feel important.

For me, nights like that are what boxing is about. World title fights with a fantastic build up and a great atmosphere.

Probably because he knew at best that Simpson deserved a draw. Absolute robbery on those scorecards.

You keep saying this.....or for at least the second time.

Simpson is @ Super Feather........not Feather.

Why would Simpson go to Belfast after already going there and doing a job on Lindsay.............and winning the Lonsdale outright :hi:

Anyways...........gonna watch his Choi fight again......in an emotionally stable state......kinda.

Buckland = too young and hungry and too much now....though I am sure Simpson would/will take it.

But for what ? Lonsdale at Super Feather........nah.

Fair play to Hearn last night. I will also say the man knows alot more about boxing than many give him credit for. At least he had the class and honesty to admit Gonzales was ahead and performed better for the opening 6 rounds.

He can actually score a fight unlike Tony Bellew it appears, and many other boxing "pundits".

Realistically it is the next big opportunity that will come his way in the UK, as Hearn has said he will run a big show in Belfast on September and will need a good co-support fight for Frampton headliner. If Simpson can make the weight it is a better fight than Buckland at super feather (and when would that happen anyway).

I dont think he should fight Choi again, no reward or title. And who else could he fight at the beginning of the new boxing season?
