His resume actually doesn't **** all over Cotto's at all. Quite the opposite in fact. Cotto has aging but solid duo of Bailey and Corley, undefeated Malignaggi, career tough-guy NDou, the dangerous Torres. Garcia's best win is Khan, which loses a bit of value every time Khan struggles in my eyes, as well as a well past his bets Morales and Judah. Stylistically Cotto has far more strings to his bow also. Poor thread.
Torres was a beast, no guarantee at all Garcia would walk through him. And besides that says nothing about Cotto v. Garcia. Cotto had as much power, of not more, could fight better at range behind his jab, was a better mover, and doesn't often lunge with his punches, giving Garcia very little to work with.
