Duran and Leonard made ridiculous comments. Like the fab 4 again is untouchable.

Obvious fanboy reassurance thread for a guy with an inferior resume(Floyd), one that will ALWAYS be inferior to that of the ATGs. And there's absolutely nothing any of the dickriders can do about it.:yep

I think the fab four would all be heavy favourite to beat any fighter since they were around. I see PBF giving more trouble to SRL and Duran than Hearns and MMH (of course). Floyd is not at their level for 2 reasons:

    1) The 80s IMO was the pinnacle of the sport . . . so many great fighters, fights get better by fighting other great fighters, which the 80s had in abundance.

    2) these guys fought at 147 (SRL, Hearns and duran) at their peak . . . PBF is past his peak which was @130 -140.

we will never ever see the talent of the fab 4 ever again . . . period. that does not mean floyd is not great, because he is the best in this generation, but that was another generation

I agree, and I admit Hagler,Hearns,Duran,Leonard were lucky they had each other. Add in there Benitez and it was special. Floyd might not have had that level to fight to prove anything, but he could have pushed the Pacman fight. JMM might be his best win, but it is not close to a fab 4 fight.

There is not a blueprint to beat Mayweather but there is a blueprint on how to beat Duran. Not just one blueprint but a lot of them

Someone could, for arguments sake, punch him in the face hard enough to put him down for the count of ten. I would think that should do it.

Fighters have egos but Durans just speaking the truth. There's no way Floyd would have lasted with those guys. If they were around Floyd wouldn't go near 147. Leonard is arguably the best fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves. Duran is up there as well.

PBF wouldn`t have even signed a contract to fight any of the fab 4 ! Not while they were in their primes and at welter. It would not happen, fact !

Floyd would never get in the ring with Hearns, Hagler, or Leonard since Floyd only cherry pics and fights Hispanics.

Duran would have gotten frustrated against Floyd, when he quit against Leonard that was a mental lapse, and that was just from Sugar twirling his right hand and popping him with the left..And he lost to all the greats of his time but we still pretend he was a God..

Psychology plays a huge part in boxing, as in any other sport, and obviously life in general.

You can't really compare what Ray did in the rematch in my opinion, because Floyd would never have fought like that.

Ray managed to get under his skin, and he psyched him out and taunted him.

Ray had a huge set of balls.

My personal opinion is that Duran would have intimidated Floyd.

I don't actually think Floyd would have fought any of the fab 4, although he couldn't have fought Marvin for obvious reasons.

I think Tommy Hearns would have terrified him at 147.
