Robert Toomey fought for the Australian Middleweight title, then the Australian Light Middleweight title then the.....................Australian Lightweight title. In that order. First successfull defence of his Australian Lightweight title against Gilchrist last week Believe that? :?:?:?:?:?:?
3rd time lucky for Toomey. Wonder what he would have done if he'd lost to Gilchrist? Have a go at the bantamweight title
Spider If he came down the weight from middleweight to lightweight and applied it again you would see he would come in at Minimumweight. Good diet.
"If he had been fighting at 61kg from the start he would probably be unbeaten but when he was younger he was a bit pigheaded. "He's always had it in the mind but he never wanted to train as hard as he should have but now he's a bit older and more committed, he's worked bloody hard to get down to the 61kg and he's won an Australian title with one arm basically." http://www.dailyliberal.com.au/story/1492826/history-will-be-made-as-toomey-defends-title/?cs=113

Pretty sure he fought Israel Kani as an amateur, so amazing to think what he is capable of if he gets his weight under control and gets fully dedicated to the sport
Not sure about undefeated. but he definately shouldnt have been fighting lower weights much longer ago.. he's definately not a middleweight.
