Now this is an objective ***** although i firmly believe odlh takes it and possibly by stoppage. In the 12 ROUND,odlh lit up fmj and remember fmj almost **** his trunks.

The only good-to-great fighter that Oscar ever stopped was a shot Vargas, yet he's supposed to stop one of the best defensive fighters ever, who also has a pretty solid chin? The bottom line is that just as Floyd struggled with Castillo, Oscar struggled with -and lost to- lesser fighters than Floyd.

It means nothing when trying to handicap a fight.

If Floyd wants to survive, he does. Oscar still had plenty of fight left in him when they fought, but didn't land a single flush left hook. Floyd tried to give the fans a little show in the 12th, but he lost it because Oscar was -and has always been- a much better combination puncher.

No one was "shitting their trunks".

castillo should have won against mayweather, castillo couldn't carry delahoyas jock strap. prime for prime delahoya wins by split, possibly unanimous decision.

You forgot to mention that Floyd had a injured rotator cuff that kept him out most of the year in the first fight. What happened in the second fight?

So prime ODLH had his hands full with aged Whittaker, but smashes FMJ?

    Right.

ODLH wasn't winning,PJ, just alotta huffin'-'n-puffin',but Oscar couldn't blow the house down. Mayweather --like he does with all his opponents-- picked him apart like a surgeon.

You lost your avatar in that bet you lost to me.

People seem to forget how dominant Oscar was during his undefeated run. He was knocking everyone dead. The end of his winning streak against Trinidad was one of the shitiest decisions I can remember. Oscar did anything at anytime that he wanted against Trinidad.
so yeah prime ODL definitely had a good chance to beat FMJ

almost **** his trunks?? how u know that :huh:huh

Mayweather went toe 2 toe 2 in the last round to please the fans. u see what he did the first 11 rounds.

stoppage?? Were talking about a top 5 defensive fighter ever!!!! Nobody ever KO's Mayweather, not even a prime DLH. Mayweather will probably go his whole career without even getting knockdown.

Like another poster said. he struggled with an aged Whitaker but somehow he was gonna win 7 rounds against a prime Mayweather???...NAH :hi::hi:

Interesting point... Oascar was semi-active and gave a damn good account of himself ... Prime Osacr, would have stayed with his jab and been busier down the stretch...Might have been enough to squeak out the win ...

Prime Oscar doesn't transition well enough from offense to defense to outpoint Mayweather.

People talk about past prime Oscar giving Floyd a tough fight, when Oscar had every single negotiable advantage. At his weight, with 10 oz gloves, a small ring. Everything, and a much smaller Mayweather clearly won.

Yea, I think so. Basing it on that both had same promoter, lets say Arum, and both were on good terms with the Bobfather Oscar would get the decision. The only big fights DLH lost was to Hopkins and the first Mosley match. He arguably won his biggest fight, which was against Tito. Oscar from the Mosley rematch definitely beats Floyd and that was 154. Oscar was a complete fighter at his best by then.

I know, right . And that he never faced a prime Floyd either. Anyone who watched him struggle against Carr knows he'd get outboxed by any version of Floyd 147 and below.
