Mayweather vs. pre-plaster Cotto. Both undefeated welters. Huge fight that didn't happen.

Pavlik vs. Abraham would have been huge when both were undefeated middleweights.

JMM vs. Morales. Even JMM against MAB when both were a bit younger.

Actually, that rematch happened in 2010. Bernard Hopkins won by UD.

Would have love to see Hopkins in place of Tarver in Tarver I though. That's when it would have been 10x more interesting............ 2010 was a farce.

I think he means a fight between Bhop and the real RJJ . . . not the alien who has possessed his fragile body since Ruiz

I know this is a few years before the cutoff, but if there was one fight I wished would have happened in the 2000's decade, it would have been Rahman vs. Tyson in the summer of 2001.

Tyson should have been given the chance, at the expense of Lennox Lewis, of regaining the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship. Remember, 11 years earlier, Tyson was not given a chance to avenge his loss to Buster Douglas, which cost him the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship. It would have only been fitting if Tyson was the reason why Lewis did not get the opportunity to avenge his loss to Rahman.

Had this fight happened, and Tyson defeated Rahman, I think it would have created more intrigue for the Tyson-Lewis fight in June 2002. On the flip side, had Tyson lost to Rahman, I think he would have called it a career, and that Tyson-Lewis fight never happens.

The actually surprising thing about the Tyson - Douglas fight was there appears to have been no rematch clause inserted into it. The champion almost always insists on a rematch clause, which is why Rahman had to rematch Lewis.
